Broncos cut LenDale White

LenDale White is done in Denver.

White, the former USC star who grew up in Denver, has been released by the Broncos.

White signed with the Broncos last year and never played in a regular-season game after tearing his Achilles tendon in the preseason. He showed up healthy and a relatively fit 230 pounds this year, but he carried just four times for 10 yards in the Broncos’ preseason opener.

A second-round pick of the Titans in 2006, White’s best season came in 2007, when he carried 303 times for 1,110 yards and seven touchdowns.

  1. Another failure from that media-proclaimed Greatest Team of All Time.

    With no BCS national championships.

  2. Another 06 cheater USC player bites the dust……(see: Leinart, Matt and Bush, Reggie)…..karma…………..

  3. He’s a fat turd……….Whom to him…..Work ethic means getting a contract so i can wear some bling, and everyone will think i’m keepin it real…….He’s a disgrace……Call it what you want……..is what it is….

Bush decided to leave New Orleans, he wasn’t cut, and he got a Superbowl ring while he was there, hardly a fitting comparison to the other two.

  5. didn’t he trademark “smash and dash” or something like that… lol dude Dwill and Stew are still smashin and dashin where it all began… You and dingleberry did it for one year.

  6. Another example of why if I was a young college recruit who could pick between playing RB or another position in school, I would definitely choose another position. As someone else said, for the most part, RBs are a dime a dozen these days and there are far less of them on the field than there are WRs, LBs, DBs…

  7. I gotta be honest. I thought he was out of the league a couple years ago. I had no idea he was still on someone’s roster.

  8. He reminds me of this fat kid that I played backyard football with as a kid. He always wanted the ball, so we let him run it, and everyone just beat the piss outta him. Then he’d cry, and we’d all be like “yea Hamface! you can’t tote the rock”

  9. ever since he stomped on the terrible towel his career has gone to hell. ha this bum got what he deserved!

  10. Ya’ll keep calling him fat when he can most likely kick most of your skinny pencil neck geeks asses.

  11. Two people stepped on the Terrible Towell during a game against the Steelers.

    Lendale and Houshmandzadah.

Both careers went in the tank right afterward.

    Just sayin’…

  12. Next headline:

“RBs Knowshon Moreno, Willis McGahee and Lance Ball out for year; Broncos bring back LenDale White”

    it’d be like 2008 all over again…

I think it was 2008 where they lost like 6 running backs? Correct me if I’m wrong..

  13. I hear Detroit is still possibly in the market for a RB – Lendale could be a good GL back. Maybe Houston since their runners are dropping like flies. Good luck, Lendale.

  14. Funny all the tub of lard and whale jokes on here, I bet most of the people making those jokes are tubs of lard themselves.

a lot more “karma” is due, my friend.

Since 1959, the Trojans have won the conference championship 18 times and tied for the title on 6 other occasions. USC has the nation’s best bowl winning percentage (.660) among the 65 schools which have made at least 10 bowl appearances and its 30 Rose Bowl appearances is an all-time best.

So? The Packers beat them in the Super Bowl. The Cards NEARLY beat them in the Super Bowl
and the Seahawks SHOULD HAVE beat them in the Super Bowl

  18. he isnt a bad player, just isnt good. a team that needs a backup should take a shot at him. i would say Washington, but Royster, Halu, Torian and Hightower is enough, so i say either Miami (team him up with Bush and Thomas), Jacksonville(spell Jones-Drew), Packers or Lions. those 4 teams should look into it, but honestly, i would be surprised if he finds a job this year.

  19. This is how Cedric Benson’s career started out. Out of shape, getting in trouble, bad attitude, etc. Now look at him, he committed himself and is now a starting back in this league. I can see LenDale following that same path if/when he matures and starts taking the game serious again. He has too much talent to not have a role on some team.

  20. tatum064, what does your post about who won Super Bowls have to do with Lendale White (ie the subject of THIS thread)? Some here, and rightly so, mentioned what happened after he tramped on the Terrible Towel. Can you refute it? No? Then keep on topic, thanks. Also, your “woulda shoulda coulda” doesn’t buy you a cup of coffee, so please stop cryin as well.

    GO STEELERS!!

  21. I don’t understand. What does this have to do with Tim Tebow?

Tim Tebow, Tim Tebow, Tim Tebow. Also, Tim Tebow. In other news, Tim Tebow. Coming up, Tim Tebow.

Peyton Manning’s neck surgery, and how it affects Tim Tebow. Next up. Stay tuned.

Tank Johnson released, should Tim Tebow start? Coming up next.

Tim Tebow has lunch, eats more than Kyle Orton. What does this mean? Our experts debate, with lots of shouting. After the commercial.

Sorry, just working on my sports journalism degree. Don’t mind me.

Not sure what this has to do with Lendale White?

Tip of the cap to the Pack. As for the “nearly” and “should have”, that sounds like excuses made by guys on the wrong end the the final score.

Thanks for the history lesson…All I know is that the vacant USC national title when all three of those bums were there…and Reggie Bush had very little to do with NO winning the SB….have fun with your USC program in shambles with Kiffin….let me know how that works out with your history lesson in a few years…….

  25. When told of the news a devastated White pulled out his trusty bottle of Patron and started chugging

  26. Wow, with all the bad luck LenDale is having, you’d think he’d stepped on a terrible towel or something!!! Maybe some bitter, pouty, overly sensitive Steeler fans could come in here and confirm if such a sacreligious thing ever happened.

  27. He’ll be fine – I hear the Metlife blimp is going to be out of commission for a little while and needs a backup for the upcoming season.
