Basically, because we were resigned to it even before last season ended. Steve Smith is another story, and I bet he regrets going to Philly a LOT more than Cofield will eventually regret going to Washington solely for money.

And yes, he will miss playing here, because the Giants are stacked along the line TWO DEEP AT EVERY POSITION.

Tuck is backed up by Dave, and the young dudes who got play in the second half were not bad — one of them may be kept. Kiwanuka will be on the line at times. JPP and Osi on the other side. Canty was marvelous Saturday, backed up by Austin and you have Joseph and Bernard at the other DT position.

How are we gonna miss Cofield again? Marv Austin THROWS guys out of the way.

A couple of points though…

Greg Olsen is a stud and not many safeties in the league can cover him effectively.

Tyler Sash was an outstanding pick by the Giants. He was really a man among boys when playing for Iowa. He was a real steal for the Giants where they got him. I just think he probably needs more than 2 weeks of practice to man up against one of the NFL’s elite TE’s on his own.
