Actually, and I won’t criticize too much because I just learned this, some 4-3 teams do use a NT. Teams like the Colts use a NT most of the time. It is about position on the line, not formation. “Nose tackles: Polian said he felt good about Antonio Johnson and Drake Nevis as the team’s nose tackle, suggesting he isn’t looking for anyone else.” From an article by Paul Kuharsky.

The Colt’s use a NT in a 4-3? Thats different. Must explain why they were 25th in the league against the run last year.

The funny thing is I bet the same people bashing the Bengals for releasing Tank are probably the same ones that bashed the Bengals for signing him. Go ahead and take your shots but I guarantee not one of them would be as loyal to their team as Bengals fans are. We remember the greatness of Paul Brown and what he meant to football.

The broncos just lost a DT Ty Warren for who knows how long. I wouldn’t be surprised if they at least work him out for insurance purposes.

While he was here he really did a good job on and off the field. His biggest problem was his frequent injuries kept him on the sideline too much. Best of luck, Tanks for everything.

Yeah, but it was T.O. and Ochocinco’s fault that the “humble” Tank Johnson is gone!!!

The 2009 Bengals were overrated because they only beat the Steelers when Troy Polamalu wasn’t healthy!!!
