ESPN hires Josina Anderson

Regular PFT readers know we routinely credit Josina Anderson of FOX 31 in Denver for breaking major NFL news. With her solid reporting chops we knew it was only a matter of time before Anderson left FOX 31 for a job that gave her a higher profile, and now that job has come along.

ESPN announced today that it has hired Anderson as a Chicago-based bureau reporter covering the NFL, as well as the NBA and other sports.

Anderson will be a great addition to ESPN’s NFL reporting team. She’s had impressive scoops on significant stories related to the NFL’s drug testing program, major contract signings and the tragic deaths of Broncos players Darrent Williams, Damien Nash and Kenny McKinley.

In addition to working for FOX 31, Anderson served as a correspondent on Showtime’s Inside the NFL last season.

Worst “reporter” who’s ever come through the Denver area. Unless doing nothing but tweeting is considered reporting these days.

Now if PFT could just hire someone with strong reporting chops instead of having to twist every story and throw in their own subtle jabs…what ever happened to the free press? I KNOW, it was all bought up by the same 3 people…freaking scum

  31. kevinfromphilly says: Aug 18, 2011 9:37 AM

One word of advice to her: if Rachel Nichols gives you an apple, dont’t eat it! It will cast a spell on you, making you sleep until you get a kiss from a handsom prince.

  32. joetoronto says: Aug 18, 2011 12:52 PM

If she was a woman and black, would she have a job?

    Just asking.
