Noel Devine heads to the UFL

One of the most exciting high school players became one of the most promising college running backs. Last year, however, after Noel Devine decided to return for his senior season, his draft stock disintegrated.

Passed over in April, Devine signed with the Eagles after the lockout ended. He quit after only a couple days of practice.

Devine cleared waivers and otherwise has been unwanted.

He’s now found a home in the UFL. He has agreed to terms with the Omaha Nighthawks. The UFL announced the move today.

Also signed by the Nighthawks was former Florida State receiver Fred Rouse, whose biggest claim to fame arose from robbing, along with former Bengals (who else?) draft pick A.J. Nicholson, the apartment of former FSU teammate Lorenzo Booker.

Rouse was apprehended after leaving at the scene a receivers’ glove with his jersey number stitched inside it.
