Tackle Alex Barron, a first-round pick of the Rams in 2005, signed as a free agent with the Saints. After a knee injury suffered early in camp, Barron has been placed on injured reserve.
The Saints announced the move on Thursday night.
Barron was traded to the Cowboys last year. He started only one game in 2010.
The Saints filled Barron’s roster spot with cornerback Quincy Butler.

Damn… I was really hoping he would be protecting brees… He wouldve given up so many sacks
YYEEEEEEESSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!! This guy is not good….at all….. i was hoping he was going to be released, but IR suits me just fine..Just as long as hes not on the field and drawing a flag every 3rd play..
He wasn’t going to make the roster anyway….and doubtful anybody would’ve picked him up. IR is probably the only way he was going to get paid this year.
Typical Ain’s scumbag cheering on injuries for their own players. Disgusting.
He actually was signed by the Saints???
I thought that they only sign players that can play!!!
Worst….tackle….EVER
This guy sucks anyway
@paulitik74
Typical vikings fan, can’t help but comment on a saints post.
Can wait to see the purple and gold in Los Angeles! Their colors will fit right in with the vikings.
