That’s why it was a little confusing when he pulled his hip surgery stunt & now complains his employer isn’t offering more money than the other 31 teams bidding for him. Wait, correction, 1 other team that is taking a chance at paying him a lot of money.

No, we bash Favre for his self-centered egomaniacal behavior while he orchestrated his own exit out of Green Bay. And Ron Wolf brought the team back to life, not Favre. There was a string of NFL starters (too numerous to list) that came through Green Bay during the reign of SpongeFavre NoPants, and went on to very good careers elsewhere. Any one of them could have directed the Wolf-built team, but we’ll never know. Yes, Favre was good and we appreciate him, but he’s the reason he’ll never get a 25’0″ tall bronze statue next to Vince and Curly, not us, and not the Packers.

The difference is you guys bash Favre after he was the guy that brought your team from terrible to a playoff contender year after year. Did Rice do that for the Vikings? Nope! So your comparison is like comparing a golf ball to a basketball where the only similarity is the fact they are both round.

Since they are both Rosenhaus clients this is the best outcome for Rosenhaus.

Perhaps Berrian can get his first 1000 yard receiving season; with McNabb, and rookie Ponder.

Just trying to figure it out because it’s confusing to me. I know that Childress, Tice, and Denny were buffoons as coaches and there are certain isolated incidents you can point to that don’t put the organization in a good light, but there have certainly been enough positive incidents that the “complete joke of an organization” label doesn’t seem to fit. I don’t see how you could find anything to compliment about a complete joke of an organization. So it’s a paradox.

I’m not saying Rice is bad at all but $41M for a player that had one good season out of 4, really??? I’m glad Seattle overpaid Sidney and TJack. Whereas the Vikings were able to land McNabb for just $1M more than TJack. Who would you pick?

Well, Sidney enjoy your time in Seattle. The fact is until they get a QB to get you the ball your stats will continue to decline and people will look at you as a 1 year wonder. It’s ashame because I think you’re more talented than that.

Hard to admit, but the Frazier regime seems to want to hold players accountable, and takes character into consideration. After Rice’s hip surgery stunt last year, it showed what kind of guy he is. Props to the Vikings organization for letting him walk.

If the Vikings are a complete joke of an organization, why did you devote a paragraph to explaining why they are not a complete joke of an organization? I’m just asking for a little consistency.

Branch was actually a productive player for the Seahawks when he was healthy, which wasn’t very often.

Housh was grotesquely overpaid for a guy already in his 30s who will never be more than a #2 wideout. A lot of ‘Hawk fans were scratching their heads after that one.

There’s a reason Tim “Timmay” Ruskell was fired later that year. The complete and utter deterioration of the offensive line, sacrificing of valuable draft picks to move up a few slots, and overpaying for “talent” like Houshmanzadeh were among the reasons.

Lots of good QBs available in the draft next year, and if Jackson or Whitehurst don’t pan out, Seattle will likely have a very high pick with which to land one of them.

With all due respect to Rice, who I think is going to have a very good career, he’s only had one good year out of four so far.

He has great potential but the guy can’t seem to stay on the field. For his sake, I hope that changes, but I won’t be surprised if he ends up hurt again this year. To make matters worse, he’s on a team where Tarvaris Jackson is the starter. Jackson couldn’t find Rice to save his life in Minnesota, and my guess is he’ll have the same trouble in Seattle.

For all the money spent by the ‘hawks this offseason, I still don’t think they’ll finish better than they did last year.
