Jason Campbell leaves game

Raiders quarterback Jason Campbell left Saturday night’s game with an undisclosed injury.

Campbell was seen flexing his hand, then left the game. He stood on the sidelines without being attended to by medical staff, which would seem to indicate the injury isn’t too serious.  Still, Trent Edwards entered the game and stayed in until halftime hit.

Oakland trails San Francisco 3-0 at the half. Both teams actually moved the ball fairly well, especially the 49ers who racked up 226 yard to 135 for Oakland. But one 49ers drive stalled on the two yard-line and Alex Smith threw an interception to kill another drive.

Smith completed 8-0f-13 passes for 126 yards and the interception.   Campbell was 5-of-7 for 74 yards before leaving.

Walter McFadden may be the worst CB in the history of football. From an OAK fan. Embarrassing.

Do you know what that means? Enter Terrell Prior….

i thought it was a head injury?? well hopefully he is ok.

Raiders starting QB getting dinged up, and Broncos rookie S already getting fined. AFC West should be fun this year.

    Can you say Terrell Pryor?

  6. 4t9er says: Aug 20, 2011 10:11 PM

Hope he’s OK, I don’t think the Raiders can survive him being injured.

Dennis Dixon is available for a very good CB.

Before I sound like an a-hole, I don’t wish injury on a player, even if they are a main component of a team I dislike. As a Chiefs fan, I’d rather have games against the Raiders be competitive. Hurting players isn’t the way to win.

if it’s just a hand (like busted pinkie) then that’s a big sigh of relief, cause compare a hand injury to a head injury of any kind in the long term, I’d rather have a busted up hand then suffer from some neck/brain thing.

What’s with all the terrell pryor talk? Seriously…do you actually think he’s gonna be the next Steve young or even mike vick? I hope not.

  11. staffordsyear says: Aug 20, 2011 10:48 PM

And by the way..isn’t Dennis Dixon a QB! Do you even watch football?

RaiderFan, here. That game was awful, and they better pray McFadden drops 1,500 this season….Campbell is strictly a game manager. The scary thing is Terrelle Pryor is actually a very cheap option.

Will the Niners survive with Alex Smith being healthy!?

Good game…well, bad for both teams in the red zone, but Niners showed up today.

Congrats , from Raider Nation for the Battle of the Bay honors.

are the raiders allowed to blitz?

staffordsyear: He was saying that Dixon would be available in a trade for a CB, not that he is a CB

How about that catch by DHB in double-coverage from Campbell. Nice!

  17. staffordsyear says: Aug 21, 2011 1:26 AM

    My bad.

In other news, 2 people we’re shot in the parking lot after this gem of a football game. Only if someone could develop a virus that would single out Raider Fans and kill them. The prison population and crime would plummet.

Good luck raider nation, maybe when al Davis retires or whatever things will start to turn around for you..seriously I mean that.

    Just win, Maybe….

Reports are that Campbell might have had a concussion. Not good, but not as bad as fans getting shot after the game or punched out in the bathroom.
