Aside from being without Bledsoe, the Patriots played without starters for quite a few games in 2003 – starting center, guard, running back, LB

2004 the list is longer losing guys like Colvin, Kevin Faulk, Matt Light, Willie McGinest, etc etc.

I dis-agree. The lockout is definitely showing, but he will pick things up fast and learn from mistakes. He may not be Clay, but he is still a Matthews. I wish they would look at Asante at S more. He gets beat on double moves all day :/

I agree the Colts do put a premium on star players over depth but is that a bad thing? Other then Clark going down last year when was the last time a major cog in the offense went down (no offense but Addai is not a major contributor)? Would you rather have a top 10 player at a position(i.e. Freeney, Mathis, Manning, Wayne, Clark, Brackett) or have depth that isn’t putting up the same numbers?

What? Nothing on Tyrod Taylor who is having the best preseason of ALL the rookie QBs. Maybe I missed it, but the Ravens’ QB should at least mentioned in the one-liners.

The Colts have always gambled by not having quality depth.

They put all their money into QB and WR and less on depth and were willing to gamble that everyone stays healthy.

That’s why the Colts just have one SB under Manning and the Patriots have 3 even when they’ve had major injuries on the team.
