In a 10-6 win last year, at home, in a game where Matt Cassell threw 31 passes, against a 4-12 team, where he played the entire game….Bowe had……

0 Catches for 0 Yards.

The Chiefs aren’t going to tell you anything for fact. If they say McCluster will only be used at running back you can bet you’ll see him split wide.

And Charles had 600 yds receiving to go with 1500 rushing.

lined up against you, your defense is going to have problems.

The chiefs are getting better. Scott Pioli builds teams and doesn’t buy them. I believe in his system and the Chiefs have improved a lot in the few years he has been there. The Chiefs will be a better team this year with maybe a worse record because of the schedule. I truly believe by Pioli’s 5th year the Chiefs will begin to show they are contenders yearly.

I don’t think we have a scary WR group by any means – but as mentioned above in several comments, there are a few weapons out there. Losing Baldwin to being a dumbass in the locker room isn’t very helpful – but hey, if it gets his head outta his ass and shakes the diva persona, I’m cool with it.

I don’t think you’ll see too much of Dex at 3RB position in the actual season. We’ve got Le’Ron McClain as well, who hasn’t been referenced. Yes, he’s more of a FB – but the dude has the toolkit to run as a HB as well.

It’ll be an interesting year for sure – that schedule is pretty brutal. But ya know, if we want to be respected as a Franchise that is on the rise, we need to compete with the big boys and not live off a Division title when we were also playing the NFC West…

True, but individually you better be scared. Did you check Bowe’s numbers last year before you wrote this stupidity? AND he did it with no real threat on the other side. How is adding Breaston and Baldwin going to make the team less scary?

Big difference in degrees with the Chiefs-Bills analogy. The Chiefs were #14 in PPG last year. It doesn’t take a lot to get to #10, which would be a good goal. Buffalo, OTOH, was clear down at #28.

Except that the Chiefs had a 8% success rate last year on third-and-short – usually running Jones or trying a stupid pass.

Mmmm very good football analysis. So you don’t think they should get the ball to their WR who led the league in touchdowns? You don’t think defenses feel threatened by Dwayne Bowe?

Dwayne Bowe says hello. But yeah, they had nothing beyond him last year. The addition of Steve Breaston should make a difference however.

They have Bowe, Breaston, Baldwin, Moeaki, not too shabby, promising actually.
Added weapons to a strong running game in Thomas Jones and Jamal Charles (or vice versa), and McCluster with versitility.
Matt Cassel led the Patriots to 10 wins and missed the playoffs, but with a “weaker” team in KC last year made the postseason. This offense will be somewhat improved.

The defense is a different story, but they are led by Derrick Johnson, Tamba Hali whom had 15 sacks, and Eric Berry.

Not a KC Chiefs fan, but I can see what they’re working with to contend for the division again (most likely with the Chargers).
