Another day, another free agent who had been lingering on the market finds a job.

The Steelers have announced that guard Trai Essex has signed a one-year deal.

Originally by the Steelers in round three of the 2005 draft, Essex owns a pair of Super Bowl rings.  He started 16 regular-season games in 2009 and five in 2010.

While I’m sure it cleared some cap room this shows the urgency at o-line for the Steelers.

Who cares, really? What I care about is Pig Ben getting a career ending injury. Surely some competitor can make my dreams come true!
