Pardon me, but you can’t be much of an “analyst” if you don’t know that Jacoby Ford IS the next Cliff Branch, he’s “Cliff Branch 2.0″ – he’s faster and he’s got better hands. This kid is going to set the NFL on fire this year because of his ability to outrun the angles taken by your average NFL defensive back – that’s precisely what makes him so special. I’ve watched the film, and it takes my breath away everytime I see his potential.

Nobody knows who Jacoby Ford is right now. Buy mid-season, he will be a highlight favorite of the pundits who will point out his unique ability to outrun defensive backs to spots on the field designed to prevent TDs. I expect a minimum of 12TDs this year, moving to an astonishing 17-19 next season.

Book it.

I would think that if you weren’t picked in the first, maybe second, round of any draft that you shouldn’t be labeled as a bust. He may very well turn out to be a good player.

People tend to forget the fact he’s got great hands from playing basketball and was considered one of the best high school basketball recruits the same year he was drafted. ESPN rated him a 96. He’s a stud and has the athletic skills and background to make a switch.

So he has the hands, speed, and freakish size. What’s not more to love in trying to develop that combined with a WR who just got a $50 million contract as means of motivation?

Lifelong buckeye fan and i dont hate the kid,he left school because the ncaa requested him to be at the indy sanctions meeting along with tressel and he knew if he stayed he was going to have to throw tress and the bux under the bus.It was just the buckeyes turn to get nailed and i for one love all the hate the bux got when they got caught,just proves ur doin something right when everyone hates your school.ALL the good schools do it to varying degrees for my money ill bet that the ncaa is no more in 10 years.In the nfl the guy will probably fail unless he learns how to work hard and use his brain a lil more.

His straight speed is fast, but his lateral speed at the combine was terrible. There are a lot of fast cornerbacks and they’ll have deep safety help. If he can’t create separation and run routes well, then he’s another bust. We’ll see

Anquan Bolden was a high school QB, and even started his last game at FSU at QB against Georgia in the Sugar bowl. He turned out alright.

Nonsense. This is the QB Al Davis has been dreaming for. Raiders already have WR’s with Pryor’s speed. Al drafted him with every intention to make him QB.

i agree with this here!!! First off Clayton says one thing and Adam Shefter says another. Shefter said they plan to have him at QB and i think he does play QB. i agree with the one who posted that because this is the QB Al Davis likely dreamed up. he’s got size (i think he’s 6-6), he’s mobile and has speed, is young and has a strong arm.

So good to see the 360 degree switch in comments from before the Draft today with so many Foaming at the Mouth that their Team would take Pryor. To the Post Draft comments now coming with Pryor now being a Leper that is not fit to play Pop Warner with people giving thanks their Team did not take him. I think Pryor has a high ceiling given his athleticism and general football skills. But a 3rd rounder seems steep. There are generally really raw but athletic players available as late as the 6th or 7th round.

I can’t believe the Raiders were the ones to end up reaching on a high risk player like this.

He’s got a long, loopy ball delivery similar to Jason Campbell. It’s like he’s making a throw to the plate from center field. That just doesn’t work in the NFL unless you have lightning quick cognitive abilities to speed your reads of the defense. By the time Campbell makes his reads and starts to wind up, the pocket is usually collapsing.
I’m just not seeing Pryor as an NFL quarterback.

But, since I’m a Raider fan, I hope it works out.
