Joe Webb started against the Eagles. He’s still on the Vikings’ roster. Adam Weber is on the Broncos’ roster and he used to play for the University of Minnesota. These are two different people.

That said, you would think that Tebow would recognize Decker’s talent. I mean, he made Weber look good at Minnesota, and apparently at Denver as well, you would think that Timmy would work more with the guy. Perhaps he isn’t. His loss. Decker is pretty good. I know his stats aren’t great yet, but the guy can play. He could be another version of Wes Welker.

I think saying people hate him because of his religion is, at the very least, being overly simplistic. There have been many outspoken religious players, and few took the kind of heat Tebow has. I think the frustration aimed at Tebow is more the result of him constantly (sometimes through no fault of his own) being in the spotlight. If he were gay, or a different skin color, or politically outspoken, people would mask their resentment in those issues.

I also want to point out that there is a huge difference between critique someone’s religious or political views, and their sexual orientation and skin color. If you don’t know the difference, ask your smartest friend to explain it to you. If they don’t know the difference, find new friends.

I would take a story on anything else at this point.

The only redeeming part of these threads is when somebody takes a quick timeout to recognize Josh McDaniels as a complete asshat.

Forget the fact that was a 1st rnd pick, that he’s a great guy who can sell ice to an eskimo…….forget that he performs circumcisions in 3rd world countries and was homeschooled…….forget that he went 1-2 in 3 unearned starts, threw for 300 yac yards against the worst pass defense in recent memory and could be paid almost $10 mil in 2 pro seasons to do nothing more than provide a spark off the bench…….forget all that and you’ll come to the same conclusion that the presense of Tim Tebow shouldn’t have any more bearing on the Denver Broncos future plans at the QB position than any other 5th round QB prospect.

They’ll keep him, they’re stuck with him, they have no choice but to try to develop him. If he develops into something, gravy, but they’d be wise to have a Plan A, Plan B and Plan C.

But be careful what you wish for, tho, Denver, you may just end up with Kyle Ortonary…….

Josh McDaniels really screwed you fans in Denver. Orton has another good 5 years in him and potentially 8 years, barring injury. Tebow = Ken Dorsey, a proven winner with good individual stats, but surrounded by great players that made him look good.

Teams were smart with Dorsey, though, he was taken late and teams saw what he could do — which wasn’t too much.

Attempting to say Tebow’s belief system shouldn’t factor into these discussions anymore than a Muslim, Jewish, or Atheist player’s would, so people should give the tired, childish Christian jokes a rest. No, mine was not an appropriate analogy. But yours was an excellent comeback. Well done.

Elway was born with gifts that no current NFL QB can match considered by some to be the best draft prospect of all time, Sports Illustrated’s “Gods Gift To Football”. He played numerous PB’s and 5 SB’s, winning 2 Championships while going out on top as the SB MVP.

A First Ballot HoFer he later went on to be just as successful in business and personal life where he was busy banging Playboy Playmates and Raiderettes when he wasn’t building/selling car dealerships worths tens of millions and buying/guiding an Fake Football Arena League to a Championship.

Elway has moved on to a new challenge after the owner of the only NFL team he ever played for came begging for him to return and give a galactically incompetent franchise some semblance of respectability.

And yet YOU…….think John Elway is somehow threatened or resentful of an overdrafted 3rd to 5th round underwear salesman?

Long-time Broncos fans remember the crap Elway took during the many years before he finally won a Super Bowl. Tebow screwed up when he spent the offseason working on things other than what he was supposed to be working on. He knows it, the coaches know it, and the fans know it. Tebow will either gut it out and do what it takes to earn the starter’s job, or he’s going to find himself off the team.

But thanks to this article, I now know that Denver now has four quarterbacks it would rather have than Jay Cutler.
