You might want to calm down… the Jets only managed 22 pts a game last year and they had Edwards and Cotchery. Burress and Mason are upgrade they certainly are not much of an probably a wash or a downgrade (due to injury possibilities). Even if you think they are an upgrade. Jets are about running and defense. If they put the ball in Sanchez’ hands they will regret it.

Good news!

In 06′ he was ranked 3rd in receiving touchdowns, in 07′ he was ranked 4th in receiving TD’s and 12th in TD’s. In the 07′ NFC championship game against GB he had 11 rec for 154yards averaging 13 yards/rec.

Now, after catching 3 passes(1TD) against the Bengals (one of the most poorly run organizations in the league) in a preseason game to boot, this guy is supposed to be the 2nd coming of Jerry Rice. This is the same buffoon who blew a whole in his own leg while hanging out at a club in the middle of a practice week destroying any chance he team might have had to repeat at the SB.

I’m not saying that Jets fans shouldn’t be encouraged by his play so far, but you guys need to remember that this was only a preseason game and Plaxico Buress’ biggest enemy has always been Plaxico Buress. The talking heads on the Networks like to say that he has changed and learned his lesson, but from all the interviews that I have seen, he appears to be a lot less contrite then say M. Vick.

Rex Ryan has been predicting a SB run since he was named head couch. Bottom line Jets fans: Don’t count your Lombardi trophies before they are won.

Why is everyone mad that the Jets front office found a nice weapon for mark and the boys. you all said it was a dumb signing when it happened, and yea, its only a preseason game, but if thats a preview of what is to come in the regular season, then this has tons of meaning. another case of your team not making a move, our team making the move, and so far, looks like it works out for us. kind of reminds me of LT last year in the preseason. hopefuly plax could keep it up for the full 16+ games this year, though

The jets should have put away the Bengals in the 1 st quarter the Bengals could be the worst team in the NFL(they look sorry & dalton is not ready to start ). I think the jets still have shown problems in the red zone and I question their lack of depth after the 1st string. I also believe Rex is putting alot of faith in unproven young players like Wilkerson.

DuCasse looks awful ! As a 2nd round pick he should be starting by now in one postion (depth ??)

I believe the jets could still be a playoff team but there is no way they are a better team than lasy season.
