I actually am not a Grossman hater. I don’t think they gave him a lot of help at receiver in Chicago. That being said, I’m pretty sure it wasn’t Grossman that pulled out the Superbowl trip. It was stellar defense, great special teams and Kyle Orton winning all the important games for the team down the stretch during their run.

I learned that you legitimately are not allowed to touch QB’s at all anymore. In the Eagles game, there was a blitz and as Vick threw up an INT he was hit simultaneously. It wasn’t vicious and it wasn’t late. He didn’t go to the head either. 15 yard penalty and first down. Brutal…..I hope the NFL isn’t going to be decided by things like this all year. Every game somebody is going to be labeled “dirty” when in reality, it’s just normal football.

peyton had a few decent gains. and a few niced catches……again he was playing with a “neck” injury. how did u like vick getting tossed like a ragdoll and fumble by the big 92? yeah that was fun to watch. also browns playing without 5 key players. please tell me how great the dream team is because it is going to blow up in your face. i like all of the fair weather eagles fans run their mouths. should be called the dirty birds based on the filth of this city.

I also learned that if you have a 100% clean hit on a QB, you’ll still get stuck with a 15-yrd roughing penalty because the refs want to “err on the side of caution” (as it was reported on the local Browns broadcast).

On THREE (3) rushes. 18 yards on 3 rushes. I’ll take that average over the course of an entire game ANY day.

Browns got HOSED on a flagrant abuse of “flag throwing” when D’Qwell Jackson was penalized for a hit on Vick. Replays showed Jackson clearly targeting the chest, but because it appeared Vick’s helmet got grazed, they through the flag. Incidental contact is not supposed to be flagged in these situations. What’s worse, the flag negated a good interception by Mike Adams.

Sure hope the Browns can find some time to heal. Too many starters on offense and defense are already banged up. Thank you, lockout.

What we learned is that Ron Jaworski was used by Cam Cameron to spread the lie that “Joe Flacco audibles about 48% of the plays.”

I’m not sure why that little factoid or the fact that Jaworski repeated it on national TV was found to be strange by Gruden.

Anyone that’s been watching Flacco for the last 3 years knows that it’s a flatout lie, and one of the biggest gripes against him AND Cameron. I mean unless he’s audibling telepathically?

This coordinator’s playcalling is as uninspiring, uncreative, predictable and frustrating as the last three years.

We learned that Mike Shanahan, who has multiple Super Bowl rings, knows more about football than national pundits who have never coached, evaluated, or played the game. We also learned that the Redskins have a shot to win the Wild Card.

Oh, we also learned the Ravens offensive line is very shaky. We learned the Redskins defense is vastly improved over last year. We also learned that the Redskins can move the ball with Grossman OR Beck,

I could not have said it better myself. This is not the same old Redskins. That was a great game to watch and I as a skins fan am just fine with everyone in the league and the media still thinking that these are the same old skins so maybe we can sneak up on a few teams.

Skins will be tough this year….will that convert to wins? If Beck can lead this offense. Grossman will start the season, Beck will finish. It’s a much younger team and they’re hungry, and that’s nice to see, finally. Hail!
