Last year was the first time since 02 that they didn’t lose at least 10 games. Al did not do better than anyone in that period except maybe Detroit, who by the way are now better than Oakland, so yes Al Davis is now the worst owner/GM in the game today.

They’ve had what like 7 different head coaches since 2003 in almost as many years and have had a top 10 draft pick in just about every draft since their last SB run?

Say what you want about Kiffin but its tough to argue with it and its not only Kiffin that has said these same things about Davis. He impedes a coach and franchise from progressing because he’s deeply involved in a decision process he has no business being part of.

In case you haven’t noticed, Davis has forced the team to select the prospect with the fastest 40 time at the combine each of the last three years. Now he drafts Pryor, who ran a 4.3? The guy is an idiot and I hate to admit it but Lane Kiffin is dead on.

Mr. Davis should leave it to people who will make the proper decisions, for the good of the franchise.

Sadly – the once brilliant Al Davis has not kept in tune with the modern game (you can’t just take what you want/go deep at any tiome – any longer against the Cover 2 D many teams play) – and he is now also physcially a wreck – although some say his mind is still sharp.

As for Lane Kiffin – this should be a big season for him at the ole School – and last year – his dad had trouble adjusting to the college game (wider has marks), didn’t have live tackling practice because of the thin roster/fear of more injuries, were putting in a new system, Pete left the cupboard a bit bare – yada yada – and they still could have won three more games (11 in total) – if they had hung on at the end.

Hopefully – they will come out smoking this year and could be going back undefeated/6 & O to play a similiar situated 6 & O Notre Dame team on Oct 22nd. (Note – just bought 2 tix/silent auction – at the Trojan Club of SD lunch today – which reatured radio announcer Pete Arbogast).

That will be a barnburner if it happens.
