Getty ImagesTexans running back Arian Foster can’t seem to shake his hamstring troubles.
After missing the first half of August with a left hamstring injury, Foster left Saturday’s preseason game after aggravating the the same injury, according to John McClain of the Houston Chronicle.
Foster knew right away there was a problem. After a nine-yard run, Foster angrily walked off the field and threw his helmet. He finished with eight carries for 38 yards.
The third-year player has unquestioned talent, but he must show this year he can hold up physically after such a big workload last year. It’s too early to panic, but this month has been concerning for Texans fans. (And Foster’s fantasy owners.)

Two words. Ben. Tate. Scoop him up in fantasy.
And thousands of fantasy owners just picked up Ben Tate.
The Texans are a hard team to figure out but they are DONE if Foster isn’t 100%. Maybe this is the year the Dolphins finally win one against them in week 2 with Foster at 80%.
Welcome to my fantasy team, Ben Tate.
He has a lot of talent, hopefully he can stay on the field and get healthy. I know hamstring injuries tend to linger.
That’s great news!
Houston’s chances for a winning season are all but lost now
It looks like Ben Tate will get his shot.
Glad I didn’t have my fantasy draft yet.
BAN THE PRESEASON!!!
Cmon bro u are my number 1 fantacy pick, stop getting injured
Draft stock dropped
Sorry Texas fans bout fosterbut no headline bout my lions? Kicking some patriot ass and stafford looked very Sharp! 27-10 at half.
Please dont follow Slaton’s path with an injury prone sophmore season. This is our Yr…GO TEXANS !!!!!

Yeah, PFT, C’mon!!!! How can you take the time to write a story about one of the best backs in the league, whose team depends on him, getting injured when Stafford had such I great game….I mean pre-season game…I mean pre-season half.
LOL……
Ben Tate is ready.
please give foster the tebow treatment of 3 articles a day to keep us imformed
One hit WONDER
and who in the hell cares about the Lions….Didnt know they had fans
And this is exactly why RBs need to get paid early in their career.
… And also why teams are hesitant to do so.
minor problem he’ll be ready to go by game time on the 11th, real question is who is going to shock more people this year the texans or the lion? is it possible that they might both win their division or make the playoffs
not sure that the lions do have fans just love watching suh wreck o lines and qbs
I bet you thought Steve slaton was one of the “best backs in the league” a couple years ago didn’t ya? And the lions don’t depend in stafford at all…idiot , I expect more out of a packers fan.
Trust me ever Texans fan wants Foster to be playing! But for the people posting Houston is done without him are crazy! This is no doubt the best overall who team the Texans ever fielded, and prob the worse Colts and Titans team since the Texans have been in the league. I wouldn’t be surprised if Foster wasn’t held out the first couple real games just to get him 100%
Zero post season appearances in franchise history. I’ve never seen a team do so little with so much talent on paper, they get picked every year to make the playoffs and we have to hear what they are going to do to the Colts and Jags by their arrogant fans. “This year its the Texans!” (2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011) Maybe next year! Love, Jacksonville.
will somebody keep this guy on the excercise bike till the regular season? I have him as a keeper in my league and I already have two rb’s and one receiver, I was hoping to draft a qb #1 but this guy is making me question that philosophy.
Please don’t be a one hit wonder.
