Although roughly 1.8 million people in New York and New Jersey are without power, Hurricane Irene could have been a lot of worse in the area. Cleanup is underway on Sunday with the storm passed.
Zach Berman of the Newark Star-Ledger reports that Metlife Stadium is in “good shape” after the storm. (That’s the new name for the Giants/Jets home for those who are behind on their corporate naming news.)
While mass transit in New York City and surrounding areas may be slow to re-start, the Giants-Jets game rescheduled for Monday night at 7 p.m. ET should safely go off.
