Andre Gurode is done in Dallas.

The Cowboys have decided to part ways with Gurode after failing to come to an agreement on a new contract, ESPNDallas.com is reporting.

Although Gurode was a Pro Bowl center last season, the Cowboys were thought to be leaning toward Phil Costa as the starting center this year. Gurode’s 2011 salary of $5.5 million was too much to pay a player who might not even be a starter.

Costa suffered a sprained PCL last week, but the Cowboys are optimistic he’ll be ready to go for the regular-season opener.
