I look down upon the NFL for turning into such as sissy league…..baseball didn’t flinch when two young catchers (Carlos Santana and Buster Posey) were steam rolled at home plate and lost for the year with nasty injuries. Baseball has always been played that way and it will continue to be played like that, balls to the wall.

The NFL is a joke…college football is way more physical (so is baseball) and nobody plays football with more passion and intensity than college players. The NFL is a snoozefest with soft players, and pansy fans.

Are you seriously comparing Suh to Reggie White? I understand people when they say Suh is a beast but comparing him to White is beyond crazy. Just because he had a excellent rookie season doesn’t mean in anyway he should be compared to the Minister of Defense. He isn’t even close to being as good as him.

as a lions fan , be thankful you have him. he absolutely annhilated New England. It doesnt matter if it was pre-season. This was a Patriot team that put up 28 in one quarter, and blew out Tampa Bay earlier.

Anyone who criticizes Suh as “not classy” or accuses him of not being a class act could not be any more misinformed. Ask the kids at the childrens hospital about his class. Ask the others who have benefitted from his countless charities. Ask the University of Nebraska how they like the new sports complex he donated.

You people have let jealousy cloud your minds and affect your ability to judge character.

Suh is a monster on the field, but he is an upstanding citizen off of it. He is well spoken and intelligent; everything you see from him is calculated.

His job is to change the culture and gain the respect that comes with intimidation. We have been the laughin stock of the league for 10 years…but he has silenced that laughted and replaced it with a gasp.

Keep up the good work. You have the respect of your peers and the respect of the only city that matters. Keep up the good work.

As for Suh – as I’ve already said he who laughs last laughs longest.

A Lions fan would not tell Suh to shut up & live to tell about it.

They are in the division of the two NFC championship teams from last year and the eventual Superbowl champ. I don’t see them making the playoffs regardless of Suh. If they do it’s a great accomplishment, but 9-7 or less is a just another failure.

Sure, it’s preseason. Detroit put on quite a show, and a young team will always have a measure of bravado. But I enjoy watching any team that can slam the Pats -whether the game is meaningless or not – and make Princess Brady cry as he gets his prom dress dirty.

most people are saying if the lions were smart, they would want to stay under the radar and catch teams by surprise. yes, this makes sense. however, suh wants opposing offenses to fear them. this is would be a tough feat to achieve if they were under the radar. it would be different if the defensive line was not backing up suh’s talk.
