Now, this is at least the dumbest comment I’ve read all day, and on PFT that is saying something.

For one, Brees is the most accurate deep-ball passer in the NFL over the last 5 years. And that’s a fact. He’s given careers to Robert “I can only run fly patterns” Meachem and Devery “I can only fly patterns and square-ins” Henderson.

Does that sound like a “system” quarterback to you? This is not exactly Kyle Orton we’re talking about here.

Spoken like a true idiot who has never watched a down of football. How is Drew Brees a “system quarterback”? Is that what he is because his team passes the ball often? So by your idiotic retard logic the three quarterbacks that you say that Brees is NOT comparable to are also system quarterbacks. I would go further and engage you in a battle of wits, but it is clear that you are unarmed.

Now back on topic, Brees is a top caliber quarterback and anyone who doesn’t think so, doesn’t know football. This guy would get tons of pub if he were playing in NY, Chicago, or Dallas, it just so happens he’s in a small market team like N.O. but without the winning history of GB. If you think that he sucks and isn’t worth a top tier contract then you must have Brady, P Manning or Rodgers on your team because I can’t see putting any other quarterback even in the discussion of comparison with Brees.
Rivers would be the closest but he hasn’t done anything notable.
Bradford? Too young.
Ryan? Hasn’t won any ice or even gotten close, he’s young.
E Manning? Serviceable, yes, elite, no.
Freeman? Stupid haircut will hold him back.
Vick? hasn’t won the big game, hasn’t been successful over a long period of time in Philly.
Cutler? don’t try to be funny.
Romo? I said don’t try to be funny.
Schaub? Too streaky thus far but we’ll see.
