Sean Payton talks about Super Bowl talk

Saints coach Sean Payton, during his Tuesday visit to PFT Live, addressed the question of whether he’d prefer to have his team picked to win the Super Bowl, or whether he’d prefer to have his team not picked to win it.

He had an interesting answer.  Payton would prefer his team not to be picked to win it, but to be in the discussion.

  1. Maybe you can post a new story for each question/answer from the interview? Instead of just posting one transcript/recap/video?

  2. It’s a shame that the Saints don’t play on the East Coast so that they can be a “Dream Team” too.

Of course, the Saints have actually won a Super Bowl.

Can you imagine the hype Brees would get if he played in New York or Philly? It would be unreal. Instead we hear about Eli this and Sanchez that. Media is a disgrace.

  4. I live in Philly and it is pure entertainment to listen to Eagles fans hype themselves up to be a dream team and then bash their team after one pre-season loss. They by far are the worst fans in football……P.S. The Eagles and Vick are due for a terrible season this year, good bye Reid…

  5. It makes perfect sense. At the beginning of the Saints Super Bowl season, no one was talking about them going to the Super Bowl…that worked out pretty good for them.
