My team is the Steelers. We have problem children too, most infamously Big Ben. I don’t approve of what he did and am still circumspect abut his apparent rehabilitation. He does deserve a second chance, as we all do, but he has also earned being under the pall of suspicion while he works in that chance.

I am well paid. I would earn more than the NFL’s league minimum, lets put it that way. I am grateful for my chosen profession and have no qualms with anyone else earning more than me as I am not in a race to see who is paid the most or accumulates the most.

So, your two primary arguments are out of the way. And I still think Vick is a despicable human being who committed despicable acts (and not hypothetical acts or presumptions of acts – on the record acts for which he did jail time). Defending him is pointless. You, and people like you, defend him because he is winning football games for you (not unlike why some people defend Big Ben). If you want to admit to that, you would at least earn some respect, but tossing out your poorly thought ramblings and tired old cliches only serves to make you look like the uneducated backstreet bum you likely are.

Yes all teams have some sort of turds. But I would venture to say that those of us who think low of Vick also think low of the turds on our own teams. I know I do. I don’t think Philly fans shouldn’t root for their team anymore if they don’t like Vick. I do think it’s silly and hypocritical to defend Vick the way some of you guys do though.

I don’t care if Philly wants to give him a BILLION dollars, that’s their choice and they have to deal with the consequences whatever those are. I don’t think it was a wise INVESTMENT though. I think it’s a huge gamble to dump close to 40 mill guaranteed on a guy who had a good half season, is injury prone, and isn’t off probation yet.

That's some of the stinkiest BS I've ever read on PFT. Tell you what. When I'm convinced that Vick's "reform" is for anything but PR purposes, maybe I'll forgive him. If he's still speaking out against dog-fighting and all that crap after he's squandered the tens of millions of dollars the Eagles just gave him and after the spotlight is gone, I promise I'll consider forgiving him.
