I’ve never seen an NFL quarterback miss throws so badly. If you ask me I though his passing looked awful in the preseason, he was missing guys by 5-10 yards.

At the combine Michael Vick ran the 40 in 4.36. Cam Newton ran it in 4.59, tied with Jake Locker for third among QBs. Bo don’t know that.

yeah seriously, here’s the thing, i like Newton’s potential, but to say that he’s fast as Vick isnt really true. Vick is faster and so is Jake Locker. Newton though could be better with his poise and with his passing, he’s not a guy who looks to run first, but he has to work on reading defenses and accuracy.

But honestly every Black QB is called dumb and inaccurate. As few as they come in the NFL, but the long list of FAILURE white QBS are never labelled as such.

I think Newton has potential but Bo isn’t doing him any favors talking him up like this. Carolina has a new coach, new QB and an extremely truncated preseason. Not a good position to be in imho.

On the plus side, I really can’t see how Newton could do worse than pickle boy did.

At this stage of the game Bo knows $$$ when he sees it. Physical talent isn’t enough at QB on Sundays. There is not a team in the league that will not laugh if they see him under center. If pressed he will make some plays and lose the game.

Hyperbolic? Absolutely. However, I am going to chalk it up to hometown. He trying to talk up fellow Auburn guy.

Also, the Limbaugh-loving white guys never fail to play the race card when it’s about a black qb. Never fails. And why would anyone compare Shaun King and Akili Smith to players like Cam Newton and Mike Vick. Those guys were pocket passers. They weren’t known for their running ability. They threw for tons of yards in college, in passing offenses. Very different from Cam.

Clearly Michael David Smith isn’t aware that Bo Jackson hails from Auburn, which not coincidentally is the school from which Cam came as well. The Panthers o-line actually is one of the best in the league, especially run blocking, and Deangelo and J. Stewart are arguably the league’s best RB pair, but Cam will need years of hard work and experience until he warrants this praise.

Vick can dart a laser and thread a needle with a precise flick of his wrist easily. his throwing mechanics are sharp and fast. Newton’ I beg to differ and is terribly inaccurate. Randall Cunningham has all the skills that these modern QB’s aspire to replicate. f$kin Gary Anderson missed that dam field goal against the dirty bird falcons in NFC Champ game.
