I'm tired of everyone bashing our fan base down here. We havent had a regular season game blacked out since Oct 1998. And this is through season after season of mediocrity AND a 1-15 season. This year so far Jax, Tampa, Oakland and even San Diego are having trouble sellingout their opening game. I've been a fan for over 25 years, NEVER root for another team, watch almost every single game, and try to make it out to at least one game a year. Times are tough, economy is bad, and people have family and other responsibilities to tend to. Despite our poor ownership right now, I'm proud of my team and of our fans.

@peanutbutter&jelly

Wow, 6.3 whole seasons. The Ravens haven't had a blackout since their last game in Cleveland back in 95 and that was only because the fans were mad about the team moving, the Browns and Texans have never had a blackout, the Jets haven't had a blackout since 77, the Giants last one was in 75, the Packers Redskins Steelers and Broncos haven't had a blackout since the rules changed in 1973 to allow sold-out home games to air in their market. So 6.3 years is not very impressive and it is common knowledge league wide that Dolphin fans are among the worst in all of sports.

I was looking on Ticket Master; it didn't look like that many seats were left for the Patriots game. We have never beaten the Texans so I can understand why fans of both teams would loose some of their enthusiasm over that game. Most people want to see a win for their team when they attend the game so a 1-7 season at home last year douses that flame too. I believe that fans will come out for games once the team starts winning games.

1- with how much tickets cost, the blackout rule is stupid anyway, if fans are going TV isn't in actual competition, well maybe back in 1974...

2- with how much tickets cost, the owner whose name I shall not say should just uncork his wallet for the 75k or so and stop being a tightwad

3- with how much tickets cost, they should have had enough cash around in the last decade to get a QB and O line

No, “Real fans” shouldn’t support an organization that doesn’t do all it can to be successful on the field. The best thing a fan can do is not give money to a crappy organiation. It helps motivate the team to put a better product on the field.
==============================

if you don’t support your team when things are tough, then you are not a real fan! I belive the phrase for fair weather fans is, “jumping on the band wagon."
--------------------------------------
I don't think you understand. I'm not saying if your team is losing don't support them. I'm saying if they are incompetent (i.e. The Dolphins) the best thing you can do is send a message to ownership by not going to games.
