A few things other NFL teams can count on:

Eagle fans will always bring up regular season wins but very few playoff wins. Why is that?

Eagle fans will always try to make light of others championships since they have ZERO Lombardi’s themselves.

No teams fans in the NFL hold their regular season wins so near & dear.

Eagle fans will always act like they are right on the brink of that championship, then say “wait until nest year” in January & February.

But do Eagle fans know what the word hypocrite even means? Let me help ya out there Skippy:
Definition of HYPOCRITE
1: a person who puts on a false appearance of virtue or religion
2: a person who acts in contradiction to his or her stated beliefs or feelings.

The statement that regular season wins are championships in Philly have nothing to do with being a hypocrite Chucky. But you just keep being angry about your empty championship trophy case & call others things that are totally out of context.

Maybe getting yourself a couple of those regular season wins hats & shirts that are mandatory bragging gear in Eagleland along with a cheesesteak might make ya feel better. BTW, don’t forget a dictionary while you’re at it.

The point being, you dimwits, is that you can’t stop Vick. There are eleven players out there. So, if they are able to stop the offense the reasoning may be due to horrible line protection, predictable play-calling , or any number of other things.

For those whiny people saying it was out of context that the team has too many weapons etc.

Shutting down Vick means those other weapons don’t get the ball. In effect shutting down Vick shuts down the offense because he’s the QB.

It’s different if Vick’s a stud WR – shut him down and there’s other WR’s to get open/the ball and score.

But he isn’t. He’s the head of the snake so to speak so yeah – shutting down Vick means the other dream teamers can’t get the ball which means they’re not going anywhere.

Everyone knows how regular season wins mean as much to the city of Philadelphia as Super Bowl wins mean to the rest of the country.

They are going to start selling shirts & hats in Philly memorializing their regular season wins. While the rest of the NFL’s fans will celebrate championships, Philadelphia’s fans will continue to celebrate regular season wins.

Seriously, All opposing defenses have done since you came into the league is prevent you from winning a Super Bowl. You have as many Super Bowl rings as I do. Vick 5/12 47 yds 0 tds 3 ints and 3yds rushing.

Really Vick thats why you have no rings and a early exit last year in the playoffs. Whats your excuse there the Eagles had a 2 to 1 turn over ratio. Good teams have figured it out, good teams I emphasize, many teams have figured it out not all can implement it. Look at Brady many say is the best QB next to Manning if not the best but if you pressure Brady he collapses. Lets face it Vick since you became a “pocket passer” you suck at pressure. Yes it was preseason but the Steelers with their pressure caused you to throw 3 ints. You have great weapons this year what you do not have is a great o-line. If I were you Id spend some of that extra money insuring your legs, arms or what ever will break next on you that seems to happen every season.

While it is true that he had less weapons to work with in Atlanta, it seemed that 3 teams always found a way to control Vick: Tampa Bay (when Kiffin was the DC), Philly (when Jim Johnson was the DC) and Baltimore…..Not that he didn’t sometimes beat these teams, but they always made it difficult for him, and Mike Vick doesn’t like “difficult”……

Vick is the least dangerous Eagle on the field. You can absolutely stop him, and it’s easy to do. Vick couldn’t read a defense if he was spotted half the play and talked through the other. Keep him in the pocket, with an athletic spy. His O-line is bad enough that 4 rushers should provide enough pressure to make him think quick, which is not his forte. Zone blitz to confuse the looks and line calls, and you have the makings of a flat Vick. Yes, the Eagle playmakers will get their licks in, but you can absolutely gameplan to stop Vick, and as a result, stop the Eagles.
