A bizarre week in Chicago has ended with running back Chester Taylor finally being released. On Tuesday, he supposedly was told that he’d be cut by coach Lovie Smith. Then, Taylor wasn’t.

He has been now.

The Bears made that and other moves to get to 53 players.

Gone are receiver Kris Adams, defensive tackle Marcus Harrison, guard Ricky Henry, tackle Levi Horn, running back Robert Hughes, defensive tackle Jordan Miller, tight end Andre Smith, linebacker Patrick Trahan, safety Anthony Walters, and tight end Desmond Clark.

The Bears also placed linebacker J.T. Thomas on the injured reserve list, and the Bears placed running back Harvey Unga on the reserve/left team list.
