APThe Browns started their cuts early Saturday by letting go of 17 players.
After a long day of moves, the final ten players moves they made will complete our 32-team journey through Cutdown day.
Cleveland placed Brandon Jackson on injured reserve with a toe injury. There was some dispute about how long Jackson would take to recover, but the Browns clearly felt they couldn’t wait for him. Perhaps an injury settlement could be possible if he gets healthy.
Also cut: OL Dominic Alford, QB Jarrett Brown, RB Tyler Clutts, LB Archie Donald, RB Quinn Porter, DL Brian Sanford, OL Jarrod Shaw, LB Brian Smith, and WR Rod Windsor.
And that wraps up Cutdown Day. Check out our tracker for all the moves.
And then check back tomorrow as the league continues to churn the bottom of the rosters, because teams won’t stand pat.

Browns might be the third-best team in the AFC this year.

Brown and Porter to practice squad, bring in DB help and veteran QB such as McCown, Edwards or Clemons. Add Jean-Gilles for O-Line.
There’s no need to add a veteran QB
Little surprised LB Brian Smith got cut. They must have their eyes on someone that got cut from another team.
Dumb move cutting WR Rod Windsor
Dude is a total stud!
I really hope they’re not doing this so they can train him in the offseason. The guy is untrainable. No insticts whatsoever.
Congrats BTC, you cant even talk smack without screwing up.
Better the Browns than the Packers. Sorry to hear this news. Brandon is a good guy. But better the Browns than the Packers!
