That’s absurd. Avery would’ve been the fifth or sixth receiver on the depth chart even if they kept him. Gilyard never showed anything at this level. The WR corps still isn’t good but the Rams haven’t really lost much.

However, his skill set isn’t what is used in a Josh McD’s system and you need system players to succeed. I see him going to Chicago to play under Martz or going to Detriot to play under the HC who drafted him in Linehan. He’s going to definitely catch on elsewhere though.
