The one flaw that the Steeler’s organization has is that it puts too much emphasis on experience. That is why they keep guys like Gay, Moore, Tyrone Carter and too a lesser extent Ryan Clark instead of trying to develop young guys.

Marcus Gilbert looked so good in limited action I am almost routing for a minor injury to Jonathan Scott just to give him a chance. I really like Scott at RT, but at LT he is only average.

Hills is more of a finesse guy who looked decent at tackle no worse than the guys they have. In hindsight seeing him at guard should have been a clue he’d get cut. He may end up starting elsewhere like Urbik.

Gay was fairly decent last year outside of one bad game. They can’t shut down everyone completely.
