Yeah, since when do you run the ball a lot when you have one of the best WR tandems in the NFL at the time? And a Hall of Fame QB chucking them the rock?

With that kind of pass-first offense you’re only going to run the ball as an afterthought – in 2nd and short situations.

Hell, the Colts have done it for years. Joseph Addai hasn’t actually lit it up after however many years of starting.

You all act like Taylor is expected to start from Week 1. That isn’t the case. He’s a back-up nothing more. It’s a 1 year contract for Christs sake. We’re not stupid enough to give a huge contract to a back-up unlike those morons in Chicago.

Nobody said Brian “Always Concussed” Westbrook was a bad pick up for the Niners last year even though he’s done as well.

You forget Taylor also had 112 carries comparted to Forte’s 237, not saying Taylor could have ran for over 1000 with those many carries like Forte did, BUT its just the F.I.C.A.: Fairness in Conversation Act.

He blocks well and is a decent back up. Saying that Beanie Wells stinks is not really fair. The AZ offensive line is THE WORST at running the ball. Look at the YPC of ANY back in AZ in the last 5 years. Thats why they ran the ball the least out of any team last year. Its basically a waste of a play.

In the new NFL where passing is king this is no longer some small bonus part of the RB job. For some offenses this is the most important thing a RB can do.

Chester Taylor is great at pass protection, so for a team like Arizona this is a great pick up.
