As of the middle of August the Bucs were second in the league at 30 mil under the cap. At 34 cents on the dollar to buy up the tickets, the estimate I hear is around 250 K . Sure,it is not my money but it sounds like a small price to pay to try to rebuild your fan base that hasn't recovered from the gutting of the players that were synonomous with the Bucs over the years.
You can keep Gabbert and Newton and Dalton and Stafford. The Bucs have the best young QB and nobody gets to see him!!!!!
And as far as relocating, I don't see it. I think that the NFL would want a steady tenant in one of their primo Super Bowl locations and not turn RayJay into a concert and tractor pull venue!!!!!

The real reason behind the Tampa Area teams not selling out( this is also a problem with the Rays and Lightning) is there are so many "fake" fans in the area. What I mean by "fake" fans are all of the Boston, New York, Pittsburg and so on fans that claim these teams because their great grandfather on their wife's side was from one of those cities.

There are tons of implanted fans here that have been here for generations yet still refuse to call the home team "their" team until one of them makes it to the playoffs.

I hate to ask you folks to read something other than the sports section, but about half of America's workers are either out of work or fighting some illegal alien for a job at McDonald's. Jacksonville and Tampa have been hard hit. In addition, attending games isn't any cheaper. The wife and I spend about $300.00 per game and we don't drink alcohol.

Quite a few people have to use food stamps and are running out of unemployment insurance payments. Let's see, should we be good fans and give our money to the rich guys or buy the kids school clothes? Dentist bill or Buc's; which is it? Maybe the rich guy could give those tickets away to the poor people who used to have a job and come to the games!

who wants alot of little hobo kids and people dressed in camo standing out in the driveway everyday waiting for handouts.

Personally I'd rather pay 10 bucks a game to sit around at home then waiting for enough yuppies to buy up PSL's so they can buy tickets or people with strong enough nerves to drive through a snowstorm to sit in the middle of a windtunnel on top of an iceblock so the game doesnt get blacked out.

leave it free on tv i dont care i just want the option.

Pathetic... blame the economy, blame the Glazers, blame whatever you want. A football team, not to mention a good one, is in your backyard, and you want to blame everything but yourselves for not supporting your team. Brutal....There are many spots in the country hit much worse and people show up. Good lord, people showed up when they were broke and beat up after Katrina....People even showed up in Detroit during an 0-16 season....Get it together

For the people that really can't afford tickets to support the team, not an issue. That is understandable. But you all are completely deceiving yourselves if you think that's the reason it's not sold out. If the game was in Detroit, it would be and the economy in Detroit is much worse.

If the Bucs can't sell out a game like this, a revenge game against another up and coming team, a year after going 10-6, and on the Sept 11th 10 year anniversary none the less, they don't deserve their team.

Try the "London Buccaneers" on for size! As long as all the London Sunday home games were 1300 EST kickoffs (early evening London time), and the visiting team had a bye the following week, I doubt many NFL owners would have a problem with the relocation.

My only problem is the renaming of the NFL Shoppe.

Not a fairweather fan at all. Many of us absolutely love the Bucs. Fact is, the economy sucks right now with unemployment here way above the national average. Many people, including myself can’t afford to go anymore. The other factor is that companies used to give tickets away to people as part of doing business (I went to many games that way) and now they are not doing it.

Michigan has a very high unemployment rate as well. The Lions only had 2 blackouts last year I believe. Pretty sure they will have none this year.

A 10-6 team on the cusp of the playoffs cannot sell out in a major city like Tampa. SAD !

And save the BS about the other things to do in Tampa because many TB fans are fair weather/bandwagon fans as the ticket sales show. There are only 8 home games a year not including preseason and “playoffs”

The problem for the NFL is that tix have become so expensive and the experience on TV so good that most people say screw it. I still go to all the ravens games but when December hits I'm not always happy about it. If I had to do it all over, I would just get directv. Mark my words the day of total pay for view 4 the NFL is closer than we all think
