"3. The Bears are way overrated and they have a brutal schedule this year. They are a 6 win team at best this year. They open up with Atlanta, New Orleans, Green Bay, Carolina and Detroit. They will be 1-4 by week 6 and the season will just simply fall apart after that considering they play the Packers and Lions again, as well as Tampa, Philly and San Diego.

Kudos to itsmebobd for seeing some light at the end of the Bengals tunnel. I posted similiar comments a few days age but somehow my post was deleted, probably because I mentioned the indecrestions of a Steeler QB and a Raven LB in response to the constant lame comments about Cedric Benson. I'm not a Mike Brown fan by any stretch of the imagination but I do see some positive things to look for, thanks again itsmebobd for pointing these things out. But by all means don't diss the criminals on the roster of the other division's team or your comments will be censored.

Ok, as a bengals fan I disagree with a few of your rankings here.

The Cardinals snuck into the playoffs a couple years ago, and shocked the world playing hot all the way to the superbowl behind kurt warner. They finally have a franchise QB replacement in Kevin Kolb. He is the real deal, hes a franchise QB. He isnt the next JOE MONTANA or other HOF QB name here, but the guy can get it done. I say they go 11-5 and are a top 12 team easily.

The Chargers dig themselves in a hole every single year, no way they are that high of a team. They are good, but vastly overrated and always flunk out on the playoffs every year. Remember, they lost to the bengals dec 26th last year, I was there, and it was BAD. Not to mention there was no TO or Chad Ochostinko in the game either, they were torched by jerome simpson all game. And since when do they have a running game? A few years ago they had 3 solid RB's in LT, turner burner, and sproles, thye let all 3 go like idiots.....

And Finally my bengals. Go ahead, rate them last, we love it. We always respond well to a 4-12 year under marvin lewis, and nothings going to change this year from years past. Name 1 team who ran on the bengals all preseason? None, you cant run on the bengals this year. Our pass rush is getting ALOT better with dunlap and michael johnson getting sacks. A good pass rush will improve the secondary, as they wont have to do as much. This coupled with the fact andy dalton has progressed every week of the preseason, and of all the QB's drafted (besides mallet) he will have the best career. AJ Green is forgotten for now, but not by the end of the year. Jerome simpson came alive at the end of last year when given his chance to start, and Jermaine Gresham is in his 2nd year, and will be the safety net of andy dalton. Cedric Benson will be heavily relied upon this year, and with him getting such a big workload, we will see more of bernard scott as a spell back, and Brian Leonard on more 3rd downs. Bscott always has the potential to break a BIG ONE and take it ot the house, and brian leonard always seems to make the most of every rushing attempt he gets which always seems like he is getting 6 yards a carry. Bengals impress and shock all of you, going 7-9 this year behind bensons great running and daltons game managing and promising rookie year.

As good a list as anyone else could produce. Enjoyed the comments.

Chargers starting at #3? They couldn't even make the playoffs out of the AFC West last season. Every year we have to hear how great they are. They must be the #1 team on paper from the last five years.

Cowboys shouldn't be stating at #10, though I think they could end up that high.

Good points on the Jets, Giants and Lions. Sanchez has the elusive QB magic that can't be taught or developed. If he can improve on the QB aspects that can be developed, like some better accuracy, he could be a great one. Giants looking like a team on creaky stilts, ready to topple. Lions should have a great d-line, yes. But will Stafford last through team introductions?

Don't think Bills will swipe a playoff spot, but I do think they could wind up 8-8 and higher up the rankings.

As much as I hate the Dolphins and Redskins, I grudgingly admit that they seem ranked too low. Maybe move the up one spot each? (And no, that's not an objective consideration of how they will do.)

God bless the faithful Skins fans who don't have the eyes to see that "Grossman vs Beck" is a duel for 2nd and 3rd string on any other team. And yes, that includes the 49ers.

Rank a mediocre, likely 7-9/8-8 Redskins team 31st.

I see ya working!

But really, it's a cheap way to go, you know they are not a worse football team than 31 other clubs.

As a Falcons fan, I think its absolutely retarded that they are ranked that high. They were a fake 13-3 team last year (easy schedule and should have lost to 49ers, Ravens, Packers, and Saints)

Compile that with their difficult schedule this year and I see 9-7, 10-6 TOPS

9. Eagles: Questions on the offensive line and at linebacker could keep this team’s dreams from coming true.

My oh my...just ignore the fact my Iggles go 3 deep at just about every other position...

Having said that...I can live with a 9.

I love the Pats comment...what happened in 07 that they started losing playoff....OH YEAH! they got caught cheating!

Bill-a-cheat...love it.

G.B. has a great QB and D...and deserve the #1 slot....

Man did they get lucky last season. I doubt that will continue.

Major flaws in the Power Rankings.

1. Falcons are too high. They are good but not a top 5 team.

2. As much as I cannot stand the Patriots, they will will win the AFC this year. They should be ranked 3rd behind the Pack and Saints.

4. Lions are tricky. If Stafford stays healthy they are a top ten team. If Shaun Hill has to come to the rescue, the Lions are in the 15-20 range. But since a QB injury would alter most teams performance, the Lions need to be judged assuming Stafford plays all 16 games. If he plays 16 games, the Lions are top ten team no doubt. They will have one of the best passing games in the NFL and one of the best Pass rushes in the NFL. Since it's a pass first league, the Lions should do very well. Unless they pull a San Diego and let their Special Teams sabotage their season.

5. Cowboys will be 7-9 or 8-8 even with their favorable schedule. They are definitely not better than the Giants.

6. I don't see many teams the 49ers can beat. I like Harbaugh and I think the future is bright, but they will be the ones selecting Luck next year and then it will be all up for the 49ers.

I haven't found a single (legitimate) power ranking that has the Raiders in the top ten either. There are a couple bleacher report type things, but even if you count user power rankings I've only found a few. Like all other Raider fans, it's best to just ignore Hue Jackson. Pretend he doesn't exist, and maybe he'll go away.
