If Moss visited Saints, it happened without Saints calling his agent

With receiver Marques Colston gone for a month or longer due to a broken collarbone and receiver Lance Moore missing Thursday night’s opener against the Packers with a groin injury, the Saints need a little divine intervention.

Or maybe they just need a diva.

According to WWLTV.com, receiver Randy Moss was at the Saints’ facility on Saturday.

Unfortunately, the report apparently is erroneous. Per a league source, if Moss made a visit to the Saints facility, the visit occurred without the Saints contacting Randy’s agent, Joel Segal. Not only would that be highly unconventional, it also would likely be a violation of the labor deal, especially if any conversations occurred with Randy regarding a possible contract.

Moss has “retired” from the NFL, but it is believed that he’d return in certain specific circumstances. The Saints were one of several teams believed to be on Randy’s radar, along with the Pats, Bears, Eagles, and Colts (before Peyton’s latest surgical procedure).
