We noted yesterday that Broncos receiver Demaryius Thomas can’t be counted on for a while. It turns out that it’s more than just his Achilles tendon bothering him.
The Denver Post reports that Thomas, the Broncos’ first-round draft pick in 2010, also has a broken finger on his left hand.
Thomas returned to practice on Monday after missing all of training camp and the preseason with the Achilles injury, but he made it through less than a week when a ball hit him wrong and broke his finger.
The finger injury isn’t expected to sideline him for long, but it adds to a growing list of concerns about Thomas, who suffered a broken bone in his foot before last year’s draft and also missed five games last season with an ankle injury. The guy just can’t stay healthy.
