The news wasn’t all good for the Texans today.

Per a league source, receiver Kevin Walter suffered a broken shoulder during Sunday’s win over the Colts, and he is expected to miss 10-12 weeks.

Walter has been the primary complement to Andre Johnson in Houston for the past four years, starting all but three games.  The injury bumps up Jacoby Jones and newcomer Bryant Johnson.

UPDATE 9/13/11:  Walter ultimately was diagnosed with a “badly bruised” collarbone.

Maybe they can throw the ball to Owen Daniels a little more. 1 catch for 12 yards? What a great start to the fantasy season.

jkfootballguy, the Texans kept Daniels inside to help block Robert Mathis most of the day – something far more important than your fantasy team
