Haynesworth active, Spikes out for Patriots

Despite being listed as questionable on the injury report with an illness, there wasn’t much doubt that Albert Haynesworth would play for the Patriots on Monday night.

The team confirmed it when they released their inactive list.  Out for New England: Tackle Sebastian Vollmer (back), defensive end Jermaine Cunningham (groin), reserve center/guard Ryan Wendell (calf), receiver Taylor Price (hamstring), linebacker Brandon Spikes, quarterback Ryan Mallett and running back Shane Vereen.

For the Dolphins running back Daniel Thomas is out. That means Larry Johnson will be active for Miami.

Also inactive for Miami: Marlon Moore, Charles Clay, Ike Alama-Francis, Ryan Cook, Will Yeatman and Ryan Baker.

86 degrees, 67% humidity. Does Sunlife have fainting couches large enough for 6′ 6″ 350# DTs in gear?

Haynesbacon will probably have a few good games to start the season. Its later on in the season that his “conditioning” will rear its ugly head.

oh wow… Haynesworth came in on a 4th and 2 and blew it… 1st down Miami… guess the last slice of pizza wasn’t quiet down yet

“Haynesworth” and “active” should never be used in the same sentence.

Say what you will. I’m reserving judgement on Albert until he plays…
