APSometimes an injury update doesn’t quite seem worth its own post. So I’m going to periodically update situations in bulk from around the league worth keeping an eye on.
1. A source tells Ralph Vacchiano of the New York Daily News that Giants receiver Hakeem Nicks‘ knee is “Okay” but the team could proceed cautiously with him. There is no serious damage, but Nicks’ status for Monday night seems in doubt.
2. The Bills will be without cornerback Terrence McGee for a few weeks with a hamstring issue. Drayton Florence and Leodis McKelvin will be Buffalo’s starters at cornerback.
3. The Ravens confirmed rookie cornerback Jimmy Smith has a high ankle sprain. Baltimore is fairly deep at the position, but Chris Carr also has a hamstring injury. Smith looks likely to miss a few weeks.

How about rookie Marcus Gilbert stepping in at RT for Willie Colon (likely to IR) for the foreseeable future?
NOOOOOOO. My Fantasy team needs him to play dangit
Entire Giants roster is made of glass.
More injuries! Good, great, grand!
Sigh…
Ravens should take their time with Smith and Carr. Lardarius Webb, Carey Williams and Foxworth should have no problem holding it down for 2 or 3 games. Webb, in particular, played lights out football and was easily the most physical corner on the field against Pittsburgh. It’s hard to believe he’s listed as the 5th corner. That’s some kind of depth.
