Sometimes an injury update doesn’t quite seem worth its own post. So I’m going to periodically update situations in bulk from around the league worth keeping an eye on.
1. A source tells Ralph Vacchiano of the New York Daily News that Giants receiver Hakeem Nicks’ knee is “Okay” but the team could proceed cautiously with him. There is no serious damage, but Nicks’ status for Monday night seems in doubt.
2. The Bills will be without cornerback Terrence McGee for a few weeks with a hamstring issue. Drayton Florence and Leodis McKelvin will be Buffalo’s starters at cornerback.
3. The Ravens confirmed rookie cornerback Jimmy Smith has a high ankle sprain. Baltimore is fairly deep at the position, but Chris Carr also has a hamstring injury. Smith looks likely to miss a few weeks.
