I think he's being sincere. Anyone with eyes last year and even in that game with a PUTRID QB gaining 400+ on them, regardless of context, knows their defense needs a LOT of work. We know they can move the ball all day offensively, but that defense has let them down ever since they traded away Dick Seymour. And it will continue to do so. He waived far too many guys on that side of the ball.

For as great a QB as Tom Brady is and for how rich he is, everytime I see a picture of him I imagine he went to a hair stylist, handed them a picture of Shemp Howard and said “Work your magic” Just an observation.

-------------------------------------------------
Thanks for the laugh!! He is a brilliant QB and a very attractive man. But, ohhh, I hate the hair!

As far as the "New England" isn't a city thing, that's true, I always think of the Patriots as a Boston team, my mistake.

On the Jersey thing, please people get over it, do you know anything at all about NYC real estate battles?

Dear Patriots Fans …

This is why NFL fans all over this country hate your team. They win a game against a terrible Miami Dolphins team who most analysts believe will be in the basement this year and, the next 24 hours we all have to read stories about how incredibly brilliant Tom Brady and Bill Belichick are.

They win a game against a terrible Miami Dolphins team who most analysts believe will be in the basement this year and, the next 24 hours we all have to read stories about how incredibly brilliant Tom Brady and Bill Belichick are. In the mean time, the Ravens put up a major smack down on a team many have picked to go to the Super Bowl and all we get is, well the Stealers were just having a bad day, and they’ll recover. REALLY?

To the Rex, Bill, comparison. These are two very different men coaching two very different teams in two VERY different cities. Get the over it.
_______________________________________
You're a Jets fan ( via your screen name) and you're complaining about the Ravens not getting enough press? Color me confused.

Most of us Pats fans aren't crowing about anything much beyond how happy we were to see what a great game Solder had and marveling that Ras-I hung in there so well when all we've seen of him on a field was the scrub 4th preseason game and how excited we are that though the D gave up mega yards, they were great on third down were they have traditionally stunk for the past 5 years or so.

Mia is always a tough out for the Pats IN Mia especially and BB JUST NOW raised his Pats HC record in Mia to 6-6. Real Pats fans are far far far from overconfident over games with Mia, believe that.

You’re a Jets fan ( via your screen name) and you’re complaining about the Ravens not getting enough press? Color me confused.

Most of us Pats fans aren’t crowing about anything much beyond how happy we were to see what a great game Solder had and marveling that Ras-I hung in there so well when all we’ve seen of him on a field was the scrub 4th preseason game and how excited we are that though the D gave up mega yards, they were great on third down were they have traditionally stunk for the past 5 years or so.

Mia is always a tough out for the Pats IN Mia especially and BB JUST NOW raised his Pats HC record in Mia to 6-6. Real Pats fans are far far far from overconfident over games with Mia, believe that.

“Dear Patriots Fans…This is why NFL fans all over this country hate your team.”

And so, by implication, are you suggesting that NFL fans all over this country don’t hate the Jets? Perhaps you should consider joining The Comedy Channel. You’re hilarious!

What’s next? Will you be arguing that Mark Sanchez, like Eli Manning, is in the same “class” as Tom Brady?

I thought Brady did a great job of keeping his foot on the gas and setting a mid-season tempo. The Fins clearly couldn't match that the whole game through.

Also thought the Fins coverage schemes were horrible. How many times did one of those TEs just find a big fat soft spot in a zone right in the middle of the field? How could the Fins not prepare for that sort of thing? It's all they do! Both TEs can run but neither moves like a true WR. Where was the game plan for those two? I don't get it.

Anyway, the story of Tom Brady's Patriots is not written in September, it's written in January. This team will win at least 12 games, but that's irrelevant at this point. What do they do in the playoffs? How do they deal with Rex Ryan's Jets? Harbaugh's Ravens? Tomlin's Steelers?

No disrespect to them, but they're just a ho-hum team until then.

Hard to argue with that.

Patriots win most games in the regular season. Then they meet a playoff team with a good pass rush and put Brady on his assets and the Patriots loose. Sound familiar?

Also, how many SB’s has “Bill the Genius” won since spygate? No, we are not going to let it go forget about it.

-------------------------------------------------------------------
Please, by all means, continue to lose sleep over this now five year-old story. We can only hope 10 years from now you'll still be sweating bullets over it.

Most important, don't let the fact that the entire football world will have moved on with it dissuade you.
Keep up the righteous fight, schleprock!

Why would anyone compare a multiple SB winning head coach to a guy who hasn’t won anything yet?
That’s you guys. As soon as you see a Patriot thread, you guys swarm like flies to…

You weren’t forced to read this story. You, on your own free will, clicked the link and read the story.

It’s pretty rich that a NYC sports fan is complaining about the media blowing a win out of proportion.

That never happens to an NYC team. Never.

Most of the country hates the jets and their fans.

Now go eat a GD snack.

I actually agree with bill here. He is a so called defensive genius yet his defense is god awful. Good thing he has one of the best players ever to make up for it.
-------
"god awful"?

This is Miami's first half...

12 plays 84 yrd -TD
3 plays 9 yrds- Punt
6 plays 31 yrds- punt
3 plays 1 yrd - punt
4 plays 24 yrds - punt
2 plays 1 yrd end of half

How the hell is that " god awful"?

They had 157 yards in the first half
All the rest came late in the game when they were trailing and NE was sitting back.

Miami was ONLY 2-14 on 3rd down
