No, I wouldn’t take Romo over those 6 guys, and probably wouldn’t take him over Vick, either. But 32 men have to be starting QBs in the NFL, and right now, I would take Romo over everyone else. You can argue Romo to be as low as 13 on a QB list, but that still makes him an upper tier starter.

Romo has a track record of making bone headed plays at crucial times and has cost them multiple games. They need to address this. QBs that get brain cramps at the crunch time simply are not good QBs. Romo is the poster boy for this and based on his track record should not be a starting QB.

Sure Romo had great games. But people will ALWAYS remember him as a choke artist until he proves otherwise. So all you cowboys fans can dream and fantasize for next few years while other teams leave you guys behind.

Don’t be shock if they’re last in the NFC East this year. Until Romo is gone and JJ hires a real GM, Cowboys will always be a team that won’t go to the Big Stage.

The perception is that Romo isn’t a “clutch” QB because he has had a few notable failures, and his failures get magnified because of the team he’s on, but the FACTS are that Romo has been a terrific clutch player, more often than not, throughout his career.

Romo is a decent qb of mcnabb had all the weapons that romo has had when in his prime he’d have a couple rings. Romo decent because he has always had weapons. Put him on Jacksonville or Seattle he’d be the next Marc Bulger

Sure Romo has thrown away some games, but he is 42-20 as a starter for the Cowboys and has led 10 4th Qtr comebacks/game winning drives.

His reputation as a choke artist comes mainly from the playoff games. In the 2006 playoff game against Seattle, he choked – as a holder. As a QB, he led them down the field in the 4th Qtr to get the field goal attempt, and he was basically a rookie. In 2007 playoffs, they lost to a Giants team that rode a hot streak to the superbowl. The entire team played poorly, and Romo wasn’t any more of the reason they lost than any other player. In 2009, he was outstanding against the Iggles. Then, he and everyone else on that team got steamrolled in Minnesota. He was bad, but so was everybody else.

People who don’t want to actually use their brain blame Romo only for the Cowboys’ collective failures to go farther in the playoffs. (BTW, If a guy tells you Eli is better than Rivers because Eli has a ring, slap that guy in the face because he’s an idiot.) “Romo” is not 1-3 in the playoffs, the Cowboys are. He has contributed to the 3 losses, but so have a lot of other guys. It doesn’t mean that he can’t help this team get to the playoffs again and even win playoff games again.

Romo is no worse than the 5th best player on the team, so if he is so awful, then they won’t win a game this year. My hunch is that they will find a way to struggle through a few wins even with Romo playing.
