Andy Dalton “questionable at best” for Sunday

Bengals rookie quarterback Andy Dalton suffered a wrist injury on Sunday against the Browns.  He may not be able to play on Sunday against the Broncos.

Geoff Hobson of characterizes the former TCU quarterback as “questionable at best” after he participated in practice on a limited basis Wednesday.

“I guess with the wrist injury, that’s a big part of it,” Dalton said.  “There is still a little bit of pain in there, but like I said, it’s getting better every day.”

Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati Enquirer reports that Dalton took snaps and performed handoffs and pitches with his left hand.

If Dalton can’t play, Bruce Gradkowski will get the start.  He led the Bengals to a come-from-behind win over the Browns in Week One.

Bruce Gradkowski is a stud. Bengals could do a lot worse. They could be the 2011 Vikings.

Like a bad wrestling story line,Carson Palmer shows up and hits both Dalton and Gradkowski with a steel chair then says,”this is my job Raggedy Andy!”
…then proceeds to throw 3pick six’s and the Broncos win34-10

No, you are gonna miss Palmer 😉

I think Gradkowski should be the starter anyways. Let Dalton sit for a year. It’ll be good for him.

I don’t think they miss him at all.

The Palmer from 2005 maybe. Anybody paying attention knows that Palmer has not been a good quarterback for the last three seasons. Roadhouse is a rookie and still learning, but at no point in his young career has he been any worse than Palmer was last year. The difference is, Dalton will get better.

Well, at least the Bengals will always have those cool stripey helmets.

I think they’ll let Dalton sit. Bruce can beat the Broncos. They’re pretty beat up after the Raiders.

Tedy Bruschi thinks Dalton needs to suck it up and play.

Isn’t a healthy Sanchez “Questionable At Best” every time he takes the field?

    I’ll take a 50% Dalton over a 250% Orton, any day. And I’m a diehard Broncos fan.

    Dalton +Bruce= Good season ahead!!

Just rub some dirt on it and get out there!

He will probably be okay by Sunday. If not, Gradkowski is perfectly capable to lead the Bengals to their second win over the donkeys, err… jackasses, err… broncos.

With Dumerville, Ty Warren, DJ Williams, Champ Bailey out, they may not even need a QB. Just shotgun it to Benson about 40 times. WHO DEY!

Bruce Gradkowski’s destiny is to go to teams with weak starting QB’s and be the fan base’s last sign of hope… strange.

Lloyd and Moreno are also on that list…
doesn’t mean their not gunna play. Wishful
    thinking though. Maybe they shouldn’t…
you know, to make it fair…lol
I see Miller taking out a defenseless QB….
    I can’t wait.

  22. schmitty2 says: Sep 15, 2011 10:16 AM

Given that Bruce has experience against the Bronco’s he is probably the best option anyways
