Gotta disagree Junk. Have you been reading the stories about the Pats for the last month. The “haters” are praying that the “dynasty is over”. They have been predicting that since 2006. Every year that goes by that the Pats dont crumble, adds one more year of frustration. The “spygate” references, and cheater comments etc have gotten worse and worse and worse over the years than they ever were in 2007.

Back then everyone basically decided that the Pats werent actually that good, it was simply the product of video tapes. So every day that passes without the collapse of BB and the evil patriots empire just fuels the fire, and prompts them to post about spygate. When you cant come up with something new, you simply go back to the well. In this case, the only thing in the well is Spygate.

The good news for you haters is that eventually you will be right. We all know the Pats cant win 10+ games every year forever. So if you say the dynasty is over, it is only a matter of time before it really is over. You can be wrong for 10 years, all you need is to be right once and you feel like you are all geniuses, lol.

But the truth of the matter is that it simply isnt against the rules to video tape your opponents signals. I will repeat that for the slower fans. It is not against the rules to tape your opponents signals. The only rule that was broken was that they filmed from the sidelines. If they filmed from the press box/roof/upper deck/front row/satellite/plane/helicopter/hang glider/UFO/drone/space station/etc it wouldnt have violated the rules… With that said you still have d-bags that will make the claim that the punishment is the proof of how awful the crime was. So, moving the camera from the sideline to the front row (you know, 5 feet) would have made it “not cheating”, but moving from the front row to the sideline (you know, 5 feet) is “cheating”???

I know all of those that disagree my thoughts on this will be offended by these next statements, but it really doesnt take a genius to understand the issue. If you truly, honestly believe it was cheating, you have no hope. If you simply use it to get your digs in, you are juvenile.

Read Michael Holley’s book about Belichick (Patriot Reign), written when he spent a year up close with Belichick, who had no control over what Holley wrote. Belichick discusses very honestly his failures in Cleveland, and what he learned from it.

Silly me, you obviously can’t read or you’d be smarter than you are.

There were many reasons why he couldn’t be successful in Cleveland. One being Art Modell crippled Belichick when it came to personell decisions. Despite that, he lost his starting QB to an injury when they were in the thick of the playoff hunt in 93 and ended up 7-9. In 94, they went 11-5 and won a playoff game on the road. Then Modell dropped the bomb they were moving and the team tanked in 95. If your front office is lobbying to move the team, I don’t care who your coach is. It’s tough to be successful.

Meanwhile Belichick WILL go down as one of the best coaches of all time. Tom Brady WILL go down as one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time.

Oh and not to mention the Patriots will STILL have three Lombardi Trophies and there is nothing a bunch of bitter fans whose team probably lost to the Patriots on the way to their dynasty can do about it.

The main differences between BB now and BB in Cle is that now he has a great owner and he has learned from his mistakes (such as talking about a player’s weaknesses to the press like he did with Kosar. He never should have done that and hasn’t since). There are a LOT of successful coaches who came from BB’s Cleveland staff: Ferentz, Saban, Schwartz, Hill, etc. He is also responsible for transitioning Ozzie Newsome to the front office. He’s great at recognizing and using talent and schemes, just like he was then.

Can one of the whining haters please explain how taping anything helped the Patriots win anything? Please, this is your chance, right now.
