This is the Packer fanbase in a nutshell. If this were a Viking player complaining, there would be 150 posts from Packer fans laughing and making jokes.

Now, when it’s the Packers with the problem- they are “stacked”- wait STACKED, no wait, S-T-A-C-K-E-D.

So predictably hypocritical.

Not only that, this post had nothing to do with the Vikings or their fans. Yet, Packer fans have to bring the Vikings into it. Why is that?

If our team is so God awfully horrible, why do you care about them at all?
Why is it that it’s not good enough that the packers are good, but that the Vikings have to be bad too?

I find it very odd that a whole fanbase is fixated on another team.

I’ve said it many times, but GB is the very first fan base to call for the heads of the team leadership and management when anything goes wrong in Cheese Land. No, they are perfect, of course, but when a player or manager has the temerity to leave, or behave in other than the Packer Way, meaning outside the expectations of the ‘owners’, the offender/infidel is banished forever. The only exception to this mighty rule will be Favre, whom will be in the Hall wearing Packer colors in 5 years, and only then will there be any kind of forgiveness. Favre may reach Archangel status like Starr and that ilk from the 60s, but only maybe. Burning jerseys? Please, people. Favre was their savior for years, and they forgave him weekly for every single soul-crushing interception, and only when Favre himself began to argue with the management did the rank and file ‘owners’ begin to stab at him. When Favre left GB, he was literally crucified.
I have no problem whatsoever coming here into this GB thread and saying this. You should see the flood of vitriol oozing on the latest McNabb-bash post directly from these GB trolls.

The other thing is that while James may not like it, his getting double covered basically got Cobb his TD. Cobb lined up in the slot with Jones wide. The guy covering Cobb slid over at the snap so Jones was bracketed over and under. Cobb was 1:1 over the middle against a slower guy and thus he was wide open.

Let’s ask every team’s back up WR’s if they want more snaps and they what they say.

STHU! It’s only one game! I understand your frustration, I really do. But at the same time, how many dropped passes did you have last season? Many of those could have most definitely been “game changers” and instead of catching the ball, you batted it down. Furthermore, the team is stacked, STACKED and yes, I mean S-T-A-C-K-E-D! Aaron has some pretty gifted targets to throw to; Driver, Jennings, Finley, Nelson (most of the time), rookie with the breakout “I listened to God” performance – Cobb and I’m not even mentioning Quarless, Crabtree or the (other) rookies.

Anyhow, I’m not really going to rant about this. All I want to say is that I think you’re great and if you played for any other team, you might be a first string WR. BUT since you play for the Super Bowl XLV Champion Green Bay Packers, you’re like number 3, tops, on the totem pole. So stop complaining, make the best out of every opportunity on the field (even if it’s only 19 plays in the game) and watch your back because Cobb is gunning for your job…like seriously, just catch everything that flies near your zip code!

Didn’t Jordy Nelson have 9 catches for 140 yards and a TD in the super bowl? I guess the Steelers kept letting him get open because he’s white.

Seriously, though, the signing of Jones in the offseason was surprising to me. he’s clearly their number 4 or maybe even number 5 receiver right now. Add to that the fact that Finley is a very good receiving tight end, it didn’t appear to be a move the pack needed to make. Barring injuries or a failure to resign Nelson, I don’t see Jones ever moving above the #4 receiver spot in Green bay

By the way James, whining to the media after just one game, NOT a way to win your way into McCarthy’s heart and get on the field !

On the other, he signed back up with the team knowing they already had Driver, Jennings, Nelson and drafted Cobb. You would think he might have signed elsewhere if playing time was a big consideration.

Besides…it’s been just ONE game.

I just hope he doesn’t become our next Daryn Colledge where he just complains about something at the end of every game, and is an all around nuisance to the team.

Once a defense decides to play press coverage, Jones will explode for a huge game since he is the quickest WR off the snap on the roster.
