James is getting slower and will begin losing snaps to Worilds this year. He still racked up 7 tackles, though they were chase-and-tackle ones after McKinnie was holding him.

The O-line will ultimately determine the outcome of the season for the Steelers. The D will be Steelers’ D. They just need a serious ass-kicking and they’ll be fine. Gilbert needs to step up and shine and Pouncey needs to read and adjust better next week. He blew a few assignments by getting too aggressive — see Mendennhall fumble, which was NOT Rashard’s fault.

On a side note, McFadden needs to lose his spot to Keenan Lewis, like now! He is a FS or SS trying to cover man-to-man on a WR. I love McFAdden’s tackling and play pursuit, but his cover skills are sub-par at best.

Once Big Ben brings his “A” game so will the team he is the leader of this team and he wasn’t playing right so neither were they.

Ben is a professional football player who gets millions to bring his A game every time he steps on the field. The suggestion that we need to wait for him to decide to bring his A game is ridiculous.

It’s easy to say the Steelers will come back. It’s easy to say anything. They’ve been talk-talk-talking all summer. But they ran onto the field in Dallas like they were bored to be there, and it’s a miracle–with three turnovers–that game wasn’t a blowout, too. Where is the pride? They should have come out Sunday ready to show the world they were determined to ready to bring it. Instead the Ravens did the showing on the field and the Steelers are still talking. “I had a bad day.” Good grief.

The point is this: Steelers are my favorite team, but their window is closing fast. It matters not we lost to the Ravens 35-7 might as well been 9-7, because a loss to the Ravens is all that matters.

We have stopped them from going to the Super Bowl three times, guess they owed us one, yet we will see them in November and you can bet, the results will be dramatically different!

While there is no more obnoxious fan base than the Steeler’s fans. Speaking as a Bear’s fan, even the Packer’s fans are tolerable compared to the Steeler’s fans.

However, Sapp is a talking head, and his job is to get people to watch, read, listen, etc. Most are full of it, and I wouldn’t head what Sapp is saying, especially as an ex player, who faces no retribution on the playing field for his words.

It’s one game, vs a very good team, who just happens to be a blood rival. So many people are writing off teams, and making scrub teams playoff teams already. A lot changes from week to week, especially from week 1 to week 2.

I would not write off the Steelers at all.

You must not know your NFL history. For the first 40 years after the Steelers came into the league they they didn’t win a single playoff game. That’s why the organization takes so much pride in the last 40 years. I hope that pride comes through now.

The team’s been riding on overconfidence, despite the Super Bowl loss. Too much talking and not enough humility in the off season. And too many commentators have taken it for granted that Pittsburgh would just bounce back from Sunday’s loss. Hines saying it was just another game still blows my mind. Since when did the Ravens become just another game? Oh … you were having a bad day, Ben? Yeah, I’d have a bad day, too, if Terrell Suggs kept sitting on me and my opponents forced seven turnovers.

Sapp may be a blowhard, but I hope the Steelers are listening and it’s lighting the fire I didn’t see in February or on Sunday. The only way to prove him wrong is on the field. And it will take more than one win against a rebuilding Seahawks team–if we win–to do it.

1. It certainly wasn’t a good way to start the season, but I believe it’s a bit premature to be making radical statements like that, albeit our defense looked out of shape at a minimum.

2. What’s the deal w/ Packers fans on all Steelers posts? You guys beat us, fair and square, in the Super Bowl. Despite us shooting ourselves in the foot and playing as poorly as we did last week, you were the better team that day. Are you jealous because you aren’t the most storied franchise in the NFL? (Championships don’t count when there were 12 teams in the league, btw).
