these guys that post here lack the ability to comprehend what they read thats why…guess ravens are nto as good as they were first game lol..where are all the raven fans now.steelers had a bad day at office last week..the ravens were just better THAT DAY..

Raven fans win one game against the steelers, and they react/act as though they just won a super bowl.

Look guys- I’ll be the first to admit that the Ravens kicked our ____, period. Chop Blocks or not. I don’t even care. A win is a win.

However- I suggest you guys remain humble, for the bottom-line facts are that the Steelers have won the Big Game six times. Ravens have won it ONCE.

Remember that. Stay humble. Season just getting started, lookin’ forward to showing you guys yet again who is/has been the superior organization.

all this animosity towards the steelers is because they find a way every year to shut the ravens down..yea they split the series just about every year but when the big game is played the steelers are always 1 or 2 plays better.this is just a way for you deadbird fans to rant and rave..enjoy it cause i dont think either of these teams will win the super bowl this year.get over yourselves already

Now the case is why the Steelers are ignorant of the rules. You can excuse fans for being ignorant of the rules. They don’t make a living doing this stuff. But an entire franchise?

Then the case is, why are the players still bitching about it on the back end of the week?

Get over it, you got beat. Now get your act toghether and prove you’re the better team the next time these guys come to your neck of the woods.

But, I don’t see them using this stuff as an “exuse”. They are just commenting on the illegal blocks. I did not watch a whole lot of the game, and I did not see any cheap blocks, but I wasn’t looking for them. If they were there, the Steelers have as much right to complain as anyone else.

Also, I don’t think this is a case of the pot and kettle. Well it is, just not in the way that people here are suggesting. If Harrison is going to get fined by Goodell for hits on other players, then Goodell had better fine players for making illegal blocks and hits on the Steelers. It works both ways. While I do think it would be nice to see some TE or RB just lay Harrison out with a block some time, I don’t think it is “justice” for an offensive lineman to get a torn ACL because people think Harrison is “cheap”. The rules should be enforced evenly across the league.

That being said, 7 points to 7 turnovers? Superbowl-bound!!! At least there is a team out there to make me feel better about my Vikings. 8)

Thank you for the kind words. I’d prefer the Steelers stopped talking about that game and focused on preparing for the next one. I didn’t notice chop blocks and cut blocks, which doesn’t mean they didn’t happen. But even if they did, the players should keep that to themselves and game-plan for it. Complaining to the media won’t stop it and makes them sound like whiners. Saying they’ll handle it themselves next time will just make the officials look more closely at every move they make. It’s foolish and unprofessional.

If an opponent engaged in a blatantly dangerous and illegal maneuver, the team should send the film to the league. But the players should keep their mouths shut. They have nothing to gain by continuing to comment on that game.

And I thought the game was embarrassing.

I love how the haters call the Steelers the dirtiest team in the league and say they always make excuses ( not one player said that is why they lost), sounds like Lombardi Trophy envy to me.

Uh this article is an excuse. The Dline is blaming officiating for why they lost. Oh and Lombardi envy would indicate being jealous of the team that has it, which you don’t, which i recall you losing that game on turnovers too. Steeler Nation needs to be buried.

I totally agree, and in no way do I ever want to see a player get hurt.

Apparently the refs did their job properly and the steelers lack reading comprehension in regards to the rules.

Those Ravens need to be careful, roughly 65% of the Steelers players are in an at-risk age group for breaking a hip.

Whether they are making excuses are not is irrelevant. Chop blocks are illegal and the Ravens got away with them.

That’s the only thing that matters.
