APEarlier this week, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said flatly that Dez Bryant would play this week. Jones backed off those claims, now saying it’s not a done deal.
“We’re going to have to monitor that and are monitoring it,” Jones said Friday morning via the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. “He didn’t practice the last couple of days, but we’ll see how he does today and of course we’ve got at least 48 hours before kickoff time. Hopefully he’ll feel better as we get closer to Sunday.”
Todd Archer of ESPNDallas.com reports that Bryant missed practice again on Friday because of his quad. He will probably be listed as questionable, but it sounds like we won’t know his status until gametime.

As i said before, punt returns ?? Keep him on the field by using him only on offense. get rid of a kicker and “find” a guy !!! really……………….
I wonder if Dez Bryant would have a bruised quad if he were to have been wearing thigh pads? It’s amazing that a) the players put themselves at risk b) the owners that invest millions of dollars allow these players to go out and play without pads.
Jerry said he’d play.
Dez is probably just tired
Yup. Skelator said he was playing.
Um, I’snt the head coach supposed to discuss injuries with the media, not the twit-owner-wannabeGM?! The fact that Jason Garret allows this to go on is a strong indicator that not much has changed. I talking SF this week.
Bet he goes shopping…
He’s backtracking to keep the 49ers guessing. Screwing with my fantasy #2 WR is like screwing with my emotions!!!
BUST
If he was wearing a thigh pad it probably wouldn’t have happened.
Bust.
49ers win.
He’ll be lucky to have Braylon’s career.
The Ghost of Christmas Future will be paying him a visit at some point and taking him to Chris McAlister’s parent’s house.
What a weird article. Nothing from the coaches or Bryant himself about whether he’ll be able to play, but the owner knows all about it. Jerry, you’re entertaining…but not really in a positive way, you know what I mean?
Wow do you to eve know what the definition of a bust is? Look across the sidelines at Michael Crabtree, that’s a bust. Dez can and has shown that he can be an impact player in this leauge.
For all the unqualified idiots like myself who dream of running the day-to-day operations of pro football team, fantasy football was created. Jerry found some oil, and the unqualified idiot actually does run the day to day operations of a real life NFL team. He is the de facto head coach, the GM, PR guy, and apparently the trainer now as well. Life my most be lovely when you never get tired of hearing yourself talk and you have a big mouth to go with it.
Cowpukes are a joke right now, and their fans seem to be AWOL.
Hail Em Up!!!!
And as usual, the owner is representing the coach.
What a mess.
Jerry got taken
Le Bust.
Sorry, but if I’m paying a guy 4-8 million dollars a year, I better see a bone sticking out of his leg if he isn’t going to play.
Day 5 and the melonhead watch continues. I fear the worst – that he’ll post again someday.
Do the Cowboys have a head coach or did Jerry absorb that role too?
Dez is probably tired of Romo blowing games already
Jerry writes the checks that trumps everyone else.
He likes the circus.
To Stonewhitetrash……….who’s wearing #24 in Philly?

Not until the Cowboys win a game.
God forbid they win against the Eagles, we’ll be back to 7, 8, 10 posts in succession.
