Earlier this week, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said flatly that Dez Bryant would play this week. Jones backed off those claims, now saying it’s not a done deal.

“We’re going to have to monitor that and are monitoring it,” Jones said Friday morning via the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. “He didn’t practice the last couple of days, but we’ll see how he does today and of course we’ve got at least 48 hours before kickoff time. Hopefully he’ll feel better as we get closer to Sunday.”

Todd Archer of ESPNDallas.com reports that Bryant missed practice again on Friday because of his quad. He will probably be listed as questionable, but it sounds like we won’t know his status until gametime.
