We mentioned after the Giants signed receiver Brandon Stokley that the veteran won a contest among various potential slot receivers.
Per a league source, the other receivers were T.J. Houshmandzadeh (pictured), David Clowney, and Tiquan Underwood.
The Giants also brought in quarterback Dan LeFevour that same day, to throw to the four candidates.
Stokley has been solid, but it’s surprising that he’d win a job over Houshmandzadeh.
