Sparse crowd in Miami

sun-life-stadium

In order to ensure that Sunday’s game against the Texans would be televised in Miami, the Dolphins and their sponsors bought up 10,000 tickets and gave them to season-ticket holders. The pregame wide-angle shots of Sun Life Stadium showing up on the monitor at the NBC viewing room suggest that the season-ticket holders didn’t want them.

Only minutes before the scheduled 4:15 p.m. ET kickoff, there was more orange than human.

It’ll be interesting to see the official attendance -- not tickets distributed, but butts in the seats.
