King on Week Two storylines

Every Sunday night, Peter King and I will talk about some of the top stories from the afternoon’s slate of games.

This week, we look at whether Cam Newton is the real deal (he is), whether the Bills will lock up Ryan Fitzpatrick (they will), and whether the Chiefs are a debacle (they are).

For slightly more information and insight, here’s the video.

i am wanting to know why none these stories so far today have anything to say about the Ravens flopping to the Hollowed out Titans that some how managed to lose to a horrid Jax team the week before???Everyone was on B-MOre’s nuts last week after the pitt game ,kinda quiet so far??

Shouldn’t Newton at least win a game (not lose one) before he’s stated as “The Real Deal”… Leinert and Vince Young looked pretty good there rookie season too…..

Does BB still cheat like crazy (he does).

Will Rex take BB behind the woodshed again (he will).

Probably because even though the Titans are an inferior team to the Ravens, they’re not an out and out bad team per se. Yes, the game is a black eye and raises several well-deserved questions as to who the Ravens really are, but I have faith in Harbaugh in preparing the team going forward.

Admittedly, the Ravens aren’t as dominant a team as they looked in beating the Steelers, but they’re not as awful as they looked in losing to the Titans either. They’re somewhere in between.

(And this all comes from a Ravens fan.)

    bobbinski1229:

Actually, Matt Leinart was horrible his rookie year. And Vince Young only threw for 2200 yards his rookie year, including 5 games where he didn’t even reach 110 passing yards and 7 games where he didn’t complete 50% of his passes.

Really, you guys are being absurd. In Peyton Manning’s rookie year, the guy had 28 INTs on a team that went 3-13. If it were Sam Bradford, Andrew Luck, or anyone else BUT Cam Newton, there wouldn’t be all this naysaying.
